Vermont is the most liberal state in the country (they have a senator who is a socialist, for crying out loud). But you never see a hurricane slam into the coast of Lake Champlian, do you?

Have you ever BEEN to Vermont? Why would anyone need to heap more disaster there? They have blizzards, fprest fires...even their state face fell off its rock in the last few years.

What kind of catastrophic retribution does it take? Perhaps Paris Hilton wearing flannel shirts and braces?

Actually... I live and pastor a local church here in Vermont, and it is not as "liberal" as many keep claiming! California and New York surpass Vermont on the liberal scale by miles...

And to answer your question... To feel the true affects of a hurricaine, the state must be a coastal one. Vermont is quite landlocked.

First, who even said that hurricanes are a retribution from God? Jesus said that it rains on the just and the unjust alike, and the sun shines on the just and the unjust alike.

Furthermore, when a certain wall fell down, the crowd asked Jesus if the victims of the accident were worse sinners than anyone else, and Jesus said that unless you repent, you will all likewise perish.

They were also the first to aprove civil unions, too.

But if you've ever met anyone from VT, you'd know they've been hit with a hurricane of boredom.

If hurricanes were retribution from God, DC would be the first place to go!

Natural disasters are just that...."natural" disasters!

what? there are many places with sin going rampad. look at las vegas. nothing has happened there either. yet.

just because something hasn't happened yet doesn't mean it won't. and it doesn't necessarily have to be a hurricane.
edit: that is, in the sense of 'justice' if you will.

one day, we will all be judged for our sins.
