If you met a super nice Muslim, would that change your mind about all the Islamist violence in the world?

I read it an hear it all the time, and everytime they say, they think they have layed out something profound, never before heard, real progresive. Weve all heard it, the infamous response to any criticism about violence done in the name of allah, "have you ever met a Muslim", "I know a good Muslim, so dont bother me with details", "I visited an Islamic country once...".

You know, many people in London also knew, what they described as "very nice Muslims" people and were shocked to find out that they were the animals behind the London bmbings? Ever read the accounts of people who knew these Islamists before they murdered for Allah?

Wait a second, do you think its possible that they act one way, all the time harboring intense hatred for the culture they live in? No, thats not possible is it...its not possible to feel extreme hate and also act nice based on religious instruction is it?

Almost all armed conflict worldwide is Islamic, what could possibly speak louder?

If somebody identifies themselves as a Muslim, they are expressing their support of Islamic ideals and teachings. The ultimate goal of Islam is to subject the entire world to Islamic rule and to kill off anybody who doesn't go for it... AKA genocide.

Is it possible for anybody who identifies themselves as wanting to see billions of people killed to be "nice?"

any way I agree with you that some of what they called them selves Muslim are so sick and they are not related to the real Islam in any thing, but they represent a bunch of criminals that find Islam a good way of doing their crimes ( like suicide bombs). Also, if you think about it, there is always in any society good part and bad part and in many times the good part is more than the bad one, but why the bad one is covering the good one because of the news channels broadcast just the bad thing because it's bring more people to watch than the good things. For that the Islam people (as I think) is good people is general and we don't need any way to blame them for things not all of them did it.

Yes it did change my mind about the people of that religion.

You would not believe how many people of Middle Eastern descent are afraid to show their face now because of the people that are terrorists. People now automatically connotate that Islam and Terrorist are one and the same. It's sad, because you have no idea how many times when I am kind to a person from the Middle East that they smile and are appreciative. I've spoken with so many of them and not everyone here supports terrorism. But based on the responses I see here, most people generalize that any Muslim here in this country MUST be a terrorist.

Isn't that what happened to the Jewish people during the rise of Nazi Germany?

Isn't that what happened to the Japanese here during World War II.

Anyway, my opinion is that the Islamic fascists and extremists are to Islam what abortion clinic bombers, the KKK, and the Westboro Baptist Church are to Christianity.

There are good Muslims. I've met quite a few, some of which have been on here.

The ones who are violent are a minority. There are still many of them, that's true, but the problem isn't with Islam itself. The problem is with Muslim extremists.

I am Muslim, and I do not believe in harming anything living - let it be a human being or animal. I believe killing of any sort is wrong, and has no merit and no honor in it whatsoever.

Islam, the religion I follow, does not command me to kill anyone for the sake of Allah. Those who do this are not true Muslims, and are very very sick people. They twist the words and teachings of a wonderful religion to justify their wrong-doing.

well , you should never judge by their religion or apperance, only their actions and behaviours could tell u if they r good people or otherwise (extremists).
also you should never judge a RELIGION based on some news you heard about a minority of them who twist their religions rules and decide to BOMB themselves up in the name of their god , cuz im sure their god wouldnt aprove with that.
