Yes IF-
1) you itemize your deductions, AND
2) Your total medical and dental expenses exceed 7.5% of your Adjusted Gross Income (AGI)

The amount of your medical and dental expenses that exceed 7.5% of your AGI are deductible.

Example: Your medical and dental expenses are $1250
and you AGI is $22,000. 7.5% of $22,000 is $1650 so NONE of your medical and dental expenses are deductible.

As a medical expense, yes most dental work is tax deductible. Like all medical deductions it's subject to a 7.5% AGI limitation and of course you must itemized to take the deduction.

If you itemize, then dental work is deductible as a medical expense. You can only deduct the portion of your medical expenses that exceed 7.5% of your income.
