Mexico has no problem with immigration to and from the US but it even benefits from it. Thus, Mexico does not concern about what is happening in the border.

Mexico is so completely corrupt they barely know which way is up. Police officers only need an 8th grade education and make $300 dollars per month - no benefits.
I used to live in Mexico (I'm Caucasian, from the states) and it was absolutely impossible to get anything legal done there. I tried to get my work papers so I could work legally, and I spent more than a year and a few hundred dollars for nothing. I was fined an extra $50 when I left the country. I had lawyers and immigration "officials" rip me off left and right.

Mexico isn't doing anything but blocking US efforts to control the borders. Why?
Currently, it's estimated that 80 - 90% of the income that illegals make in the US goes back to Mexico, to their families. That's great for the Mexican economy, not so great for the US economy. Why would the Mexican Govt. want to do anything about that?
I'm with you. Deport them. It will be cheaper in the long run then to give them free food stamps, free medical benefits & free schooling, etc. It's ludicrous! Not to mention the drugs, gangs, pedafiles & killers we are also importing, as well. You can't allow 20 to 30 million more people into this country & not expect alot of them to be criminals too. It's totally insane.

WASHINGTON: Playing down US President George W Bush's 'guest worker programme' apparently aimed at Hispanic voters, the President of Mexico Vicente Fox has called for open borders across North America and not amnesty for Mexicans illegally residing in the US.
The alien worker programme announced last week by Bush, would not encourage aliens to remain in the US, because they love their home country, Fox said.
"We are not looking for an amnesty for Mexico. It's not that we're looking for these Mexicans working productively in the US to become US citizens. They like tacos (Mexican bread), they like their families, they like their community, they like Mexico," Fox said.
All immigration barriers should be removed to allow people to live and work in the country of their choosing, whether it be Mexico, the US or Canada, he told the 'Fox News Sunday' programme.

The Mexican government uses the U.S. as pressure release valve. They do not want to stop their undereducated underprivileged masses to stay and burden the Mexican economy. Why would they want to when they can send them to the U.S. and kill to birds with one stone. By sending them here they get the U.S. to pay for their health benefits, while the money the 'undocumented' workers earn, is sent back to Mexico to boost the Mexican economy and line the government bureaucrat’s pockets.
And by sending them here they remove the discontented people who are the most likely to rise up in numbers to fight a corrupt government and actually force them to fix things.
So for the Mexican government this is a win - win situation, which is why they provide the immigrants maps, books and even DVD's with instructions on how to cross the borders without getting caught.
And by the way 'Proud Mexican' unless they or you are of Aztec or Native American descent they have no more claim to the land than we do according to your logic.

The Mexican govt encourages their poor population to cross the border (they have "how to cross the border" pamphlets). They only care about their upper-class citizens. Mexicans in the US send money back to their relatives in Mexico, thus benefiting the Mexican economy. Plus, the Mexican govt relies on the US govt to take care of their citizens...US taxpayers end up paying for the Mexican illegals' health care, education, etc. Our govt is the sucker! This needs to stop!

Mexico isn't obligated to care about protecting our border that is our job, not theirs.
Should the US have to forfeit their land just because we fail to keep our citizens in?
