I'm 14 and I really like this guy at my church who is 15. I'm afraid he won't like me because I'm 5'6" and he is maybe an inch or two shorter than me. Guys I like are almost always shorter than me. I've heard that it's an unspoken rule that guys don't go out with girls taller than them because it's a pride thing. Is that why they don't like me?

To tell you the truth, some guys really are that shallow. If I was that guy I would go out with you regardless of how tall you were. I am not shallow like most of the guys around now. Hope this helps.

I don't think height's a problem much.
I've heard many guys see it as a symbol of "greatness" for being with taller girls as their gf/wife.
If a guy truly likes, you despite whatever height they will like you.
You're only 14. Most guys; once 16-20's kicks in they shoot right up to the sky!
I was taller than most guy during 10-15. Now I'm shorter than most guys. So don't you worry ;)

The imporant thing is that you and him need to bond, if both of you enjoy each others company and get on well then height shouldnt be a problem at all! Im 5"8" and i thought its going to be such a problem because im quite tall but there are taller guys (quite a lot of taller guys acctually) and i have dated guys who were an inch or so shorter but that was never a problem!

if hes only 15 I'm sure he will get taller. but my husbands first wife was a few inches taller than him and he likes me because I'm lik 5-6 in shorter than him because i can still wear heels and be shorter than him. but it wasn't that big of a deal because he married a chick taller than him i think it just depends on the guy

Ive never met a girl taller than me because I'm 6'4". Im not usually attracted to tall girls but If I met one who had the confidence and personality I was looking for, height wouldn't matter. Wait a couple years and the guys will all be taller than you.

I think if you both like each other, then it's cool. I've dated a few girls who were a few inches, 1-2, taller then me and it was okay. Plus look at Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes. But then again, he's super rich.

No, take it from me. I went out with a boy who was almost a foot shorter than me, he came to my shoulder, and i am only 5'2. i went out with him for almost 6 months. He did not care and neither did i. Our friends joked around about it, but we liked each other so much it did not matter. It is not a pride thing belive me. don't worry about being tall!

An inch or two doesn't matter, but I think that if you are like 5 foot 9 and he is 4 foot 3, I think it could be a little akward.
