try twice a day on about 150/200grams (each meal) depending on the weight of the dog. but it differs with different foods so maybe look up the food on the internet and see if they have any guides. you probably need to weigh it before you judge the amount. if the dog is between 30+40kg your looking between 325-555 grams every day so you really do need to bear in mind the weight when you feed it. what brand are you using? try googling it (the brand) to find out about weight guides because it depend son the brand. consulting a 24hr vet or a local vet would be a good idea unless you can somehow get hold of your friend??? feed the dog at about 8-9am and 6-7pm

Do you know how much it weighs? Try feeding in the morning and evening 3 cups ( see what time the dog is more hungry) It also depends on how much exercise the dog gets. I would have hoped that the friend would have told you. You could call a vets office and ask them . I bet they would tell you.

First if you are babysitting someone elses dog they should have given you instructions.
I would just split there food ration into two feedings say
1st 7-8am and 2nd around 5-6pm
That is a guide line do what ever fits your schedule best.

the dogs 3 so its still growing i would make sure you feed it 2 -3 times aday .You should also make sure it has water all the time.I will tell you a little trick dogs will eat less if there is dog food available to them all day. I have great danes and we always make sure they have food and they only really eat once a day. BUT you always need water out

Once a day and in the morning. Labs are prone to weight gain (trust me I know) Its better to let them have the time to burn off some of the calories throughout the day then eat and sleep all night.
