Are Muslims really so peaceful?

I just saw pictures this morning of Muslims protesting in England with signs that read "Europe, your 911 is on its way" and "prepare for the real holocaust" and "slay those who insult Islam". And this was supposed to ba a "Religion of Peace Demonstration". I'm sorry, there is nothing peaceful about those signs they were all holding up.

I'm sorry, but I don't know any other religions that threaten to kill others if they do not believe the same thing.

Muslims are about as peaceful as Christians by and large. Take a look at how the Christians in the Middle East, or any other area where they are poor and desperate act and compare it with how the Muslims from the same areas act. The fact that we here in America have life pretty good and dont have to stop to think about the real qualities of life, leads me to believe that it is a HUMAN trait to commit desperate evil acts when placed in bad situations. You are looking to feel better about yourself because you are Christian yet you HATE Muslims, am i right?

You do not know of any other religion where they will kill you if you dont believe as they do? How about Christianity? It has a long and colorful history of such things. In FACT ever heard of the Crusades? The inquisition? Manifest Destiny? Did you read the stories out of india about 2 years ago where the Christians were out murdering and killing Muslims?

A true Muslim is hard to find in today's society. At least these
"Muslims" are not DOING anything violent but if they were smarter they would display signs of peace that show how much pain they actually go through everyday because of how people misunderstand them. I think their patience is running out but anyone's patience would. For true info about Muslims and how they SHOULD act, you should go to the Quran.

No. These people represent only themselves.

Does the KKK represent all Christians?

Of course not.

No small group ever represents everyone they purport to represent. Just as no one person represents his entire race or ethnic background.

Most of the Muslims I know (and I know quite a few) are good people, citizens who contribute to the well-being of society, good parents, and generous, helpful people.

There are millions of Muslims in the world, and most of them are NOT on the news, because they are leading quiet, peaceful lives.

Thats very VERY sad. There are good & bad people in every religion and in every country. They are all kinds everywhere. Have you noticed that the media hardly ever shows happy and peacefull events? They focus on the negative things.
1. Should not judge people by their religion.
2. Should not judge people by the color of their skin.
3. Should not judge people by their gender.
4. Should not judge people by their job/career.
5. Should not judge people by the clothes they wear.
etc.........
People should not judge others. I wouldnt want to be judged. They will guess wrongly.

If peaceful means to be silent, then they are peaceful...but if it means to look the other way and remain silent in the face of terrorism and killing by those who are not peaceful, then it makes them complicit in the act for not denouncing it. And that does not qualify as peaceful ...

YES I SAID IT STUPID. Dont be such a reactionary idiot. Islam has its loonies but so do all religions and groups of people in this world. Sad thing is they are actually nothing special in terms of human barbarism. Its just as we have so called evolved, our weapons do more damage than ever.
Sad truth, muslims are just as violent as other religions/groups in the world. We human beings are far too often a vile and disgusting lot that use religion to justify our violent natures.

I'm sorry, if Islamic protestors come out en masse, carrying signs of violence and hatred, and there's no outcry from the rest of the Islamic community, don't expect me to not blame the religion.

People say the Muslim extremists are like the KKK, or like the funeral protestors from Texas. Fine, but I see Christians denouncing such behavior publicly and actively. If you want such behavior to be seen in the same light, stand up for your religion and quit letting these extremists hide behind it!

you are right, there are those people who call themselves muslims and hold up these signs and kill people and do that stuff. the relligion islam is a religion of peace so those people you see are those that arent real muslims and henceforth dont follow islam!
not all muslims are like that, actually most of them are not anything close to them!
