If a drop of rain falls in the middle of one of the world's two great oceans it leaves it effect on your life and mine, or at least so say some scientists.
How can that tree fall in the middle of forest making no sound just because me and you are not there to hear it. The birds, rabbits, and all other animals around would, wouldn't they?

Yep. Anything that falls would still make a noise whether anyone was around to hear it or not. I'll bet all the forest creatures heard it. Maybe Bigfoot was out there and heard it. I'll ask him next time I see him.

no-one hears it, but it does indeed make a sound. of course, you could say sound doesn't exist if there is none to hear, but that's just nonsense.
(and replying to Hermatt, probably not. except the mime.)
