Thats not down to the religion, thats down to the individual christian/catholic/what ever other denomination there is who do it. There are athiests, muslims, jews and people of any other belief who have double hippocritical standards. It isn't down to the christian part of it, its down to the people who do it being buttholes.

I think you are getting all of your information from the wrong sources. It is true that in the Catholic religion that it is considered a sin to do some of the things you mentioned. Not to be to funny but you can't count premarital sex and child out of wedlock 2 different things, they both come from the same thing. Also and don't quote me on this but I was never taught that being a homosexual was a sin. I was always told that the sin was in the impure thoughts and actions weather it is heterosexual or homosexual. Most importantly however, we are not supposed to condemn anyone to hell. We are supposed to hate the sin but love the sinner. Of course depending on what happens that isn't always easy. You will also run into intolerant people that need to scream how holy they are at the top of their lungs to whoever will listen. They might give all Christians the stigma that we condemn those who don't believe the way we do but they do not speak for us all. As Christians we are supposed to do unto others, I'm sure you have heard that before. A good example of how Jesus wanted us to treat each other including sinners is, let the one among you who is free of sin throw the first stone. I hope I have changed your mind some that not all Christians/Catholics are how you described us.

Sex is a Sacred act, meant to be shared between a validly married man and woman. Keep this in mind as you read:
Homosexual Acts - these acts are immoral because they offend the Christian Virtue of Chastity as well as Natural Law.
Legal Divorce - A mere legal proceeding cannot undo the bond forged by a transcendant Holy Sacrament. Therefore, any spouse who is the recipiant of a legal divorce is still married, and thus bound to the Vow of Fidelity. This vow is broken when the divorced have sex.
Out of Wed-lock Children - This cannot happen unless the parents are both unmarried and having sex. Since sex is meant for married spouses, such sex acts constitute a violation of the Christian Virtue of Chastity.
There is no double-standard. Everyone is held to the exact same mortal standards when it comes to sexual morality.
Sounds like nonsense to you. . .Do you think you know better than God?

Catholics are Christians, but not all Christians are Catholic.
Now then, to your question... The same standard applies to you. Only God can judge YOU. So, why should you worry about what others think of you?
Go in peace, and sin no more.

What? What? What??????
Who????
Are you clumping everybody into one basket or something?
Christians don't condemn people. Christians are morally obligated to warn people of the dangers just as a good neighbor has a moral obligation to their neighbor if there is a fire in their house.
But trying to warn someone of the fire in their house is not the same as condemning them; and furthermore, the fire can not be blamed on the neighbor who is trying to do the warning.
Yes, these things you mentioned are sins, but who ever told you that you could buy your way out of hell by paying the church???????
The facts are: We have ALL sinned, but sin pays in death. God is morally obligated to judge all sin, but to those who are willing to acknowledge and repent of their sins, He is offering a pardon, because Jesus (who never sinned) paid the penalty for OUR sins.
"It is by grace we are saved, through faith. It is a gift from God, not of works, lest any man should boast."
Jesus said, "God so loved this world, that He freely gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in (trusts in) Him will not perish (in hell forever), but have everlasting life (in heaven with God). When God sent His Son into the world, it was not to condemn the world, but to save it. Whoever will believe in (put their trust in) the Son shall not be condemned, but whoever does NOT believe in (put their trust in) the Son is condemned already" ... (John 3:16-18)
So, instead of looking at fallible humans (because we ALL sin and fall short of the glory of God), why not look to Jesus, who loved you enough to die in your place? Read the life and times of Jesus according to four of his followers (ie Matthew, Mark, Luke and John), as recorded in the Bible, to see what this Jesus fellow is REALLY all about, and then base your decision on Him.

you want to be fallible but deny fallibility to anyone in a church. god will judge both them and you. denial won't stop it either.
