Girl, why not just wear a pair of jeans and a cute top? Forget the head gear.

you are able to upload some fabric ( no count if that is no longer comparable) to short sleeves T-shirts, so that they'll grow to be long sleeves :) U could get the main inexpensive fabric and make an prolonged sleeves something, regardless of u call it, in simple terms long & loose. If u r no longer good on stitching a rectangle for front and back and different 2 rectangles as sleeves. previous t-shirts would be good to make new jihabs. Do your maximum suitable with regardless of u have, if u want varieties or techniques.. enable me kow I in simple terms extra u, Allah Hafiz Salam

Wear it and be proud to be Muslim, it takes great courage to stand up for what you believe in. I pray that Allah guides you and makes it easy for you. And remember all of your sisters out here are behind you 100%.
I converted to Islam last year, and there was no allowance in the dress code at my company to wear hijab while at work. I was concerned because I wanted to keep my job, but I did not want to compromise my faith. It took me many months, of letters and meetings with my supervisors and such - but I never lost hope and I always prayed for Allah to make it easy for me. Now today I am proud to say I'm allowed to wear hijab at work.

Ok, first of all I'd like to congratulate you on your wise decision. Forget all the haters above. Its going to be awkward at first, a lot of people might be surprised when they see you. No big deal. It depends on where you live if you will get picked on or not. Dont worry, all your close frenz and ppl that truly love you wont change a bit (no matter what their religion is). The beginning is tough, you know accomadating to the new dress code n all, but in the end...you're a winner! Personally, I never lost any frenz or got bullied in any way. A lot of people treated me with more respect.
I wish you all the best! Hope I helped.
salam sis

I thought American high schools discouraged articles of religion in class these days. I could be wrong. The wording of your question suggests that you don't wear the Hijab regularly. Why suddenly start because you're starting high school? (why not I suppose, It's your choice in the end)

Go ahead and where your hijab. If someone gives you a load of crap, look closer at them. Are they wearing a cross or some other piece of religious paraphernalia? If they are merely point out that they are free to wear theirs, and you are entitled to wear yours. If they are ot merely point out that America was founded on the basis of religious freedom, and that they are subverting your right to practice freedom of religion. Throw their hatred veiled in patriotism back at them, they will be humiliated.

We start with the Best of Narrations, Kittab Allah; Surah 4.ayyat 59.--O you who believe! Obey Allah and obey the Messenger (Muhammad sallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam),and those of you (Muslims) who are in authority. (And) if you differ in anything amongst yourselves, refer it to Allah and His Messenger (sallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam), if you believe in Allah and in the Last Day. That is better and more suitable for final determination.~Narrated Abu Hurairah (raddeeyAllahu 'anha) Allah's Messenger (sallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam) said, "Whoever obeys me, he obeys Allah, and whoever disobeys me, he disobeys Allah, and whoever obeys the ruler I appoint, he obeys me, and whoever disobeys him, he disobeys me." (Sahih Al-Bukhari,Vol.9, Hadith No. 251). Surah 33. ayyaat 36. It is not for a believer, man or woman, when Allah and His Messenger have decreed a matter that they should have any option in their decision. And whoever disobeys Allah and His Messenger, he has indeed strayed into a plain error. 59. O Prophet! Tell your wives and your daughters and the women of the believers to draw their cloaks (veils) all over their bodies (i.e. screen themselves completely except the eyes or one eye to see the way). That will be better, that they should be known ( as free respectable women) so as not to be annoyed. And Allah is Ever Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

i believe it is hard for a Muslim with hi jab to live in west er country with different culture, customs an opinions. However, if you believe in your religion and especially in what you are as a Muslim, i dont think that bothers, the most important thing that is that you develop relationships with different people and intergrate yourself in society. HOW? it s the big question .you know how. good luck.

I know its scary to think on what others might do. Wear it, you are going to school, you might open alot of minds by doing so. This will be a learning experience for the ones that dont know. Good luck sweetheart
