Many pagans have recieved unjust violations including myself. Yesterday I asked an honest question if we are under attack and explained how we are a legitamate legal religion and form of spirituality and I recieved a violation I sent a complaint to yahoo and said this proved that they do ideed discriminate against us.

Let's unite and show yahoo we are here to stay.

I follow a simple set of rules:

1. If someone acts like a total fundythumping smacktard---or fundybaiting atheist troll, for that matter---in someone ELSE'S thread . . . I block them before they can do it in one of mine.

2. If someone is stalking or harassing someone in my contacts, and I'm made aware of it, I block them before they can do it to me.

3. If someone gets snarky with ME in my threads 3X, I block them.

4. If I notice someone has an endless supply of accounts and is trolling with them all, I assume they're up to no good and block them.

Now, Y!A only lets you block 200 people, and I'm not all THAT embarrassed to admit I've had to go back in and trim a few "dead accounts" just to make room for the latest a**hats . . . lol. But I don't get many violation notices, either, even though I'm pretty forthrightly heathen in my Q & A.

I agree with you, even to the degree that I happen to be a state chairman of the Pagan Unity Campaign. However, it is not so much a Yahoo issue, Yahoo is not being the ones who are disciminating against pagans. Yahoo is actually pretty accomidating toward the pagan community, have been for years. The problem is with other users on this forum who are intolerant of other religions. Some of them, with several accounts each, report abuse on the same question, answer, or user to try to get them deleted until that person appeals the violation. There are SO many abuse reports a day that yahoo canot keep up with reading all of them, so there is a system in place to automaticly delete after so many reports.

If some of you woul like to, click the forum button at the top, you will see a topic for Clean Up the Religion and Spirituality Category, and a topic post by me entitled Religion and Spirituality Question and Answer Deletions. Please post your thoughts and comments in there for yahoo to see and maybe make some suggestions about what can be done about it.

"Pagans And All" - Who Don't Want Anymore Violations...
Special Greetings Elder Aussie-Witch & Ariel, & All Prairies.

Well, What Is The 'excuse' That We STILL Do not Have The Choice For Women, Young & Old To Choose For Themselves -
The Category ON THE BOARD:
'Birth'

One Missing "Word" Which in ITSELF Is "Legitimate" And "Without Which", Women Remain Pitted Against Themselves & Each Other & The World. (For ref: Check Thousands of
Episiotomies...etc...)

Of Course, Having "Birth" in the Middle of "Pregnancy" And "Parenting", Would most Probably "Ensure" many less complications and finances for "The Community" At Large
AND Would Bring A Sense of "Humaneness" Back.

So, Pagans Had "Pan" Priestesses AND Midwives.
They Do Not feature At Present.
Honest of Honest Q.

The Scientists Aren't Budging - obviously
The Intellectuals Are Still Sending Each other a Resume
The Environmentalists Don't Seem to Make The Connection
The Jurists Hunt The Wrong Ppl - most of the Time
The Trolls - Haven't had The occasion
Don't Have To 'bloc' - Prefer "Heat"
Any Spiritual Suggestion Welcome ! (One Word - 1)

It's not Yahoo that wee need to show we are here to stay. Yahoo is an impartial message board.

We just need to keep coming back, like ocean waves on a rock. We need to stop baiting the folks who are just waiting for us to trip up and say the same kind of mean spirited stuff they do. We have to remember that we are fighting centuries of established acceptance of these kind of folks doing what they do, trying to fight them using the same tactics is not going to work.

What we need to do is give Yahoo ways they can better police the place.

I'm with you Wiccan Rider, both Ariel and Terry have informed me of the injustice...
Also I have given some staff details to Ariel, so hopefully we can get a few humans on our side as opposed to the Yahoo computer....
Blessed Be to all my Pagan brothers and sisters.... )O(

I have found Yahoo to be very tolerant and accepting of new ideas thus far...

But I do think that neopagans and wiccans would do well to get more involved and united (in general, not just on yahoo).

So many people who are drawn to our paths have nothing to offer except a distaste for Christianity.
You shouldn't build your entire faith around a resentment.

Knowledge is a Pagans best advocate. Ignorance and intolerance have no place in our philosophies. We should strive to give the best possible answers on Yahoo and let the rest take care of itself.

I agree with you, but I'm not sure how we would show a united front in the face of what we perceive to be discriminatory actions. Short of setting up a petition on one of those online petition websites, getting everybody to sign it, and then forwarding the result to Y!A...

we can unite by continually being diligent in our practice of do no harm and to try to spread peace, harmony and tolerance. We are powerless over the ignorant, they can not see past their bias and bigotry, we can only educate them with our responses, I wish there was more, but there really isn't ti for tat is not our way, no matter how hard the temptation is, blessing to all.

Oh dear!I cannot imagine why an educated sensible person would want to curtail someone else's freedom! I am certainly with my pagan brothers and sisters.

i have reported the troll patrol every chance i get.

also, i report questions and answers that are mean-spirited toward Pagans and Wiccans.

no shame in my game - i get reported all the time, too.

i agree, we should have a united front, but it will not happen. it has been tried before and has not worked. better that we all have each other on our contacts and work under the radar.
