George and Moses

George W. Bush, in an airport lobby, noticed a man in a long flowing white robe with a long flowing white beard and flowing white hair. The man had a staff in one hand and some stone tablets under the other arm.

George W. approached the man and inquired, "Aren't you Moses."

The man ignored George W. and stared at the ceiling.

George W. positioned himself more directly in the man's view and asked again, "Aren't you Moses".

The man continued to peruse the ceiling.

George W. tugged at the man's sleeve and asked once again, "Aren't you Moses".

The man finally responded in an irritated voice, "Yes I am".

George W. asked him why he was so uppity and the man replied, "The last time a bush spoke to me I ended up spending forty years in the wilderness".

One thing I've learned from hanging around RS is that it's impossible to tell a True Christian from all the other kinds of Christian. Therefore, I won't judge the quality of the President's faith -- and I don't care about that in any case.

I think it's safe to say that Dubya is a poor example of a Republican and a d@mn poor example of a conservative. He may have presided over the destruction of a great political party for a generation.

And with his Iraq project swamped in blood, he has the nerve to keep that sappy grin fixed firmly to the front of his head.

I am not a fan of Mr. Bush, but I do not think he is solely to blame for the war and everything else. If Americans really wanted to stop the war, we could have stopped it a long time ago. But I think most of us are too comfortable with are little lives to do things like protest, boycott, etc. We don’t want a war and we don’t like gas prices, but we are more concerned about what happens on American Idol and other crap like that.

I don't hate Bush, but I do think he's led us wandering through the wilderness for much of the past few years, especially with the Iraqi debacle.

Well I don't think Bush is a good Christian, based on his acts mostly (none of them are Christ like...)

any one who hates Bush is just a hateful person.... there are people much worse...

like hillary and bill clinton, who are gulity of treason, and..allowed the first world trade center bombing, bombing of the USS cole and US embassies...hillary slanders Bush, and then takes off to Iran to show she is their friend.....she also has a long line of dead people who have opposed her, or been involved in her scandals.

or there could be Ted Kennedy who has made ethical accusations against others, but we still have not heard why he got away with killing that woman on the bridge 35 years ago...

I don't hate Bush -- nor particularly like him. I see his religious view as a net detriment. But this is a cute tale.

History and not us will write his legacy. By that time most of us will be old and gray or else planted in a graveyard somewhere.

I don't "hate" him, and don't think his is doing a very good job as President. As for his Christianity...that is between him and God.
