I'm a Christian and although no man knows the day nor the hour , I think most of us agree that according to the Bible there's other things that must happen prior to His return .

But for the sake of thought and discussion. . . . . How Do You Think The People Of The World Would React If Jesus Came Back TOMORROW ?

BTW Christians , I am offended that Yahoo's Category Choices offered 'Jokes and Riddles' as a primary choice .

I hope it goes just like this:

WHEN CHRIST COMES - - - by Max Lucado

You are in your car driving home. Thoughts wander to the game you want to see or meal you want to eat, when suddenly a sound unlike any you've ever heard fills the air. The sound is high above you. A trumpet? A choir A choir of trumpets? You don't know, but you want to know. So you pull over, get out of your car, and look up. As you do, you see you aren't the only curious one. The roadside has become a parking lot. Car doors are open and people are staring at the sky. Shoppers are racing out of the grocery store. The Little League baseball game across the street has come to a halt. Players and parents are searching the clouds. And what they see, and what you see, has never before been seen. As if the sky were a curtain, the drapes of the atmosphere part. A brilliant light spills onto the earth. There are no shadows. None. From whence came the light begins to tumble a river of color spiking crystals of every hue ever seen and a million more never seen. Riding on the flow is an endless fleet of angels. They pass through the curtains one myriad at a time, until they occupy every square inch of the sky. North. South. East. West. Thousands of silvery wings rise and fall in unison, and over the sound of the trumpets, you can hear the cherubim and seraphim chanting, Holy, Holy, Holy. The final flank of angels is followed by twenty-four silver-bearded elders and a multitude of souls who join the angels in worship. Presently the movement stops and the trumpets are silent, leaving only the triumphant triplet: Holy, Holy, Holy. Between each word is a pause. With each word, a profound reverence. You hear your voice join in the chorus. You don't know why you say the words, but you know you must. Suddenly, the heavens are quiet. All is quiet. The angels turn, you turn, the entire world turns and there He is. Jesus. Through waves of light you see the silhouetted figure of Christ the King. He is atop a great stallion, and the stallion is atop a billowing cloud. He opens his mouth, and you are surrounded by His declaration: I am the Alpha and the Omega. The angels bow their heads. The elders remove their crowns. And before you is a Figure so consuming that you know, instantly you know: Nothing else matters. Forget stock markets and school reports. Sales meetings and football games. Nothing is newsworthy.. All that mattered, matters no more.... for Christ has come. . .

The Bible says before the rapture there will be two who accend into heaven and the world will watch. Easy to do with the internet, and cable nowadays. I think that will cause a stunned silence. Then once the rapture happens, that's when the wailing happens for 1000yrs. Then we come back and rule. I think both happen. Some of the answers of the non-believers sadden me and make me feel like I have not done my job as a Christian. Every man will know.

Yes! Both will happen. When people just up & disappear, there will be Stunning Silence for a Short Time Followed by Great Wailing at the loss of Life as a result. John

Be careful Earny, I got Violated over the Weekend for saying that I was Offended by something.

But, as to your Question, The World will mostly not believe that it has happened. They will find any story to explain the disappearances of Millions of Christians. Some Secular "Christians" will be in utter shock, but will deny the truth, only a very few, comparatively, will truly know what has happened, they will be in a panic to get to a Church, but it will be too late.

Clearly, there would be great wailing and gnashing of teeth.

Yahoo Answers violated me and removed my question which was in the Religion and Spirituality section and discussed basically how you might determine who is a Christian. My thesis was that a Christian could never be a Democrat because of the Democrat's devotion to abortion. It is still true and they can violate me again if they want.

The music became stimulated by utilising the e book "Elvis and Me" by utilising Pricilla Presley. Acoording to the songwriter, Martin Gore, "that's a music approximately being a Jesus for somebody else, somebody to grant you desire and care. it is approximately how Elvis became her guy and her mentor and how generally that occurs in love relationships; how all of us's heart is almost a god in some way, and that's no longer an extremely balanced view of somebody, is it"? And no, the music isn't approximately friggin' heroin. i'm a brilliant Depeche Mode fan. I very own damn close to each CD they have ever released. desire this enables!

I think many would not even see that He has returned unless we do have the events happen as in Revelations. If He came as before many would deny He is the Messiah probably including some of us who say we are Christians.

Should Jesus return tomorrow I will not be here. Having been raptured prior to His return, I would thankfully miss this great and awesome event. Those still here will bow and there will definitely be wailing.

What if he had already been here and no one noticed? Every few years we hear about one whack-job or another claiming to be or claiming to have seen the second coming.

The world would act with great skepticism and demand proof in the form of parlor-trick miracles. Jesus would not be drawn in and his refusal to perform would relegate him to being just another whack-job in the eyes of most.

If it happens in my mortal life, I hope I will just 'know' without the need for empirical proof. Because there will never be enough to satisfy the world.

I feel like it would be worldwide wailing - of those who thought they were okay and of those who thought it was all a big joke. If it were possible for sorrow in heaven, I think those who went with Him whould feel it for all the opportunites to witness that we passed up or procrastinated about.
