WoW, you got some wild answers to this one, no they are not your teeth getting cleaner, and shame on that assistant for saying so! They are decalcification spots, not quite a cavity yet, but it is the process of the tooth starting to breakdown. Keep in mind, it may never turn into a cavity, especially if you keep them clean, but they also are no big deal and the only way to "get rid" of them is to have your local dentist remove the decalcification and put a filling in.
P.S. If someone is that close to you and notices your teeth and the white spots, more than likely they are interested in you, not your white spots :o)

I have the same problem. I think they are called calcium deposits, the white spots happened when your teeth were actually forming. I was once told by a dentist that if you whiten your teeth it might make the spots whiter. But I'm going to get a second opinion on that. My spots on my teeth only show up when my mouth is dry, like first thing in the morning or when I have a cold. From what I see the only way to fix them would be to have veneers put on your teeth, but that's expensive. I plan on doing it when I have the money. Good Luck!!

There are a few different causes of white spots on the teeth, depending on how long you’ve had them. If the spots have been present since you were a child, you may have experienced a disruption in enamel formation—or enamel hypoplasia —as your teeth grew. White spots can also appear in childhood when kids use—and ingest—too much fluoride toothpaste. This is called hyperfluorosis. Both of these causes are common in childhood, and can cause lasting spots on teeth.

I agree with the Dr. They are in the enamel. They were caused by SOMETHING interrupting the enamel formation possibly a fever or medicine as a baby. Sometimes they fade away many years down the road if they aren't very deep in the enamel and they are in an area that gets wear. I had one on the chewing edge of my upper tooth and over the years it disappeared, because that part of my enamel wore down. You can try bleaching your teeth, but not 100% sure it would even out the color or not. Bonding or veneers is the other option, but wait till you are over 20 to do it. Sorry for no quick fix. You might try some White Strips, but that's about all I can suggest that might help quickly and cheaply.

They're calcium spots. You have to go to the dentist to have them removed and I'm not even sure if they can remove them.

I get that too, also on my nails.
It can be because you are lacking calcium eg. milk
Or not having enough of particular minerals.
Unfortunately, i doubt they'll be gone by Saturday.

ok the white spots on your teeth are good actually. maybe you've switched to a new tooth paste or somthing but it means that you teeth are getting really clean. and the white spots will soon be the whiteness of you whole tooth. so there getting clean. this happens to me too. but to get them all one white color again you should do this daily for the rest of your life so they stay nice and white and the makes them much whiter in like a few days. if not a week. ok. it really works and its not bad for your teeth. all you do is buy a bottle of 3% Hydrogen Peroxide, make sure its not 100% hydrogen peroxide. that is bad. but ya 3% hydrogen peroxide. brush your teeth first then take one cap full and swish it around just as you would mouth wash for 1 minute. and spit it out. but dont rinse it out yet. wait 1 more minute. then you can rinse. do this twice a day. it works great and its not bad for your teeth at all. and it works amazingly. and the bottle of 3% hydrogen peroxide is only 52 cents at walmart. and it actually says that its used as a mouth wash on the back on the directions. and i have a little cup in my bathroom with just enough 3% hydrogen peroxide to cover the head of my tooth brush and when your done brushing just put it in there instead on your tooth brush holder or w/e. it cleans all germs and adds the whitening-nes to the tooth paste when you brush. hope i helped out!
