AMEN!!
Rev. 19:19, says "...the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy."
Jesus also said, i tell you these things so that when they come to pass, you might believe.
only the foolish will not believe ....
even if it is in God's Word.

Don't be troubled by the return of Christ. Don't be anxious about things you cannot comprehend. For the Christian, the return of Christ is not a riddle to be solved, but rather a day to be anticipated. For Example:The Bible tells us God's children will suffer Religious persecution prior to His second coming-Matthew 24:9-10 Wouldn't you want to know when this will happen?so you can leave the cities and avoid persecution? Mark13:14-23. Here are some signs:
*Capital-Labor trouble*Wars & Commotions*Unrest, Fear, Upheaval*Increase of knowledge*Atheists-Religious skeptics turning away from Bible truth*Moral degeneracy-decline of spirituality*Craze for pleasure*Increasing, lawlessness, bloody crimes, violence*Eathquakes, storms, fires,famines*Gospel to the Kingdoms*A turning to spiritism
***For the lost, the Second coming will be terrible. They will have no second chance, for the heavens will disappear and the elements will be destroyed with fire.(2Peter3:10)
For the saved it is the Blessed Hope of every Christian, so there is nothing to be scared about as long as we are ready. (Titus 2:13)
God's Word assures us that His children will not only remain alive during this time of calamity but will also be protected by His grace. While the plagues fall all around them, the saved will be protected. God's people will go through this great tribulation and will emerge triumphant. The Lord will appear in the clouds and every eye will see Him. The dead in Christ will rise first, and the saved(along with those resurrected) will meet The Lord Jesus Christ in the clouds.(Matthew 24/1Thessalonians 4:16-17/1Corinthians 15:51-53/Philippians 3:20,21)What a glorious day for those who believe! But what a sad day for those who reject The Lord!
Believe!

I think it is more how it is preached. I know people who were so traumatized by the preachings of a certain denomination (not a fringe cult very well known) that harped on Revelations that they can not even read a bible or go into a bookstore without having a panic attack. Others do a fine job of preaching the the second coming in a light that shows it is about God's love and not persecution. When you are told as a 6 year old that in your lifetime the government will come and plant chips in you an cut the heads of those who do not worship the beast it may be a little much.

In what way could a person possibly make the word "Doomsday" a happy word?
Also, if you knew a hurricane was inevitably going to take you and your family out if you didn't leave, would you stay right where you are now? Noooooo, you would leave. You would listen to the "warnings".
So, in light of that, when you are hearing of the End Times, it is simply a "warning" of what is to come and what you can do to save yourself.

i believe a 100% that doomsday, the end of the world or TEOTWAWKI, is going to happen. i could say the world will end in years to come and be right. the problems with prophecies is that there is no detail. a thousand years ago a man said, "man will own the skies and fly", but he didn't say how. another said, " in time to come, we will be able to communicate across countries, as if we were side by side". well, hey... in that case i'm a prophet, so are you. anyway even if mankind make it, in 2.5 million years this planet is done, in 3.1 million years the galaxy is screwed.

The elaborate end times scenarios are not well supported by scripture. Even if they were scriptural not everybody interprets scripture the same way. Even if we all interpreted scripture the same way we could be wrong. Folks have been predicting the imminent end of the world for a very long time and so far their track record is zero hits.
I think a person has to do a lot of mental gymnastics to believe in something like the rapture.

So my warning you about wasting your life on religion is a valid warning then, as well. And by the way, total and complete destruction of the earth as well as the majority of the earth's inhabitants being sent to hell to be tortured for eternity should not be looked at as a good thing by anyone. Or i don't want to be associated with the person who thinks it is.
Warn away, my not so sane friend.

Read Matthew 24 and 25, Daniel, and Revelation for main end times topics in the Bible. However, Daniel and Revelation are highly symbolic and open to different interpretations.

People get all excited about an event that would cause lots of people to suffer. THAT'S the problem. It's being happy about the end of the world that is frightening, though admittedly not usually full or misery and hopelessness.

I want to witness two ideas: Doomsday and End Times.
They sound pretty miserable and hopeless to me. You don't know anything is coming. We know that there are scientific explanations to everything you are witnessing about. Stop trying to scare people into believing. I happen to believe in reincarnation and that Jesus and Buddha and Krishna and Kali are my spiritual ancestors but I guess that would make me one of the fallen prophesied about, wouldn't it? Sounds hopeless unless you just don't think it's true.
