I am trying to get cheap tickets for a group of Japanese tourists who would be visiting Austin Texas next spring and that would really help out if I could get dirt cheap tickets.

I'd be inclined to contact an agency or an airline that has a groups department or even a wholesaler. Groups of a certain number of people will get preferential deals.
