They don't believe that Jesus is God. They also believe that only 144,000 persons will get to heaven. Nonsense
BTW, if you accept the literature they offer you, they WILL come back. Refuse it and they may leave you alone.

The book must be called The Watchtower, and This publication is their god. They do nothing that is contrary to the Watchtower. They move and breath the Watch tower and they believe you must work for Salvation and that it isn't a free gift by Grace as Christianity is. They do not believe in a literal hell or Lake of fire, and they believe that only a 144.000 thousand will make it into a special heaven. They are an occult and are not of sound doctrine. They do not believe in the Deity of Jesus Christ nor in the Trinity-Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. There are many things they believe yet they are being lead astray by Satan. They will work for a salvation that has already been freely given to them and when their work is done, their names will not be written in the Lamb's book of life Revelation 19 chapter. There is only one way of getting your name in God's Book and that is through Jesus Christ and knowing Him personally...

Close scrutiny of their doctrinal position on such subjects as the Deity of Jesus, Salvation, the Trinity, the Holy Spirit, the Atonement, etc., shows beyond a doubt that they do not hold to orthodox Christian positions on these subjects. Jehovah’s Witnesses believe Jesus is Michael the archangel, the highest created being. This contradicts many Scriptures which clearly declare Jesus to be God (John 1:1,14; 8:58; 10:30). Jehovah’s Witnesses believe salvation is obtained by a combination of faith, good works, and obedience. This contradicts countless Scriptures which declare salvation to be received by faith (John 3:16; Ephesians 2:8-9; Titus 3:5). Jehovah’s Witnesses reject the Trinity, believing Jesus to be a created being and the Holy Spirit to essentially be the power of God. Jehovah’s Witnesses hold to a ransom theory of the atonement, in which Jesus' death paid only for what mankind lost when Adam sinned - namely, the right to perfect life on earth. Thus, they believe in a faith + works arrangement, where sin and death are freely atoned for by Christ, but physical perfection is attained through personal effort, coupled with faith in Christ.
The Jehovah’s Witnesses should be commended for their “evangelistic efforts.” There is probably no religious group that is more faithful than the Jehovah’s Witnesses at getting their message out. Unfortunately, the message is full of distortions, deceptions, and false doctrine. May God open the eyes of the Jehovah’s Witnesses to the truth of the Gospel and the true teaching of God’s Word.

They are what has been termed "Old Testament Christians." They follow the Old teachings and think Heaven is some distant future thinig.
They go around, door to door and preach at people. If your name is on your mailbox they have you.
Recently I just screamed at them for disrupting my day. The first visit they were too dense to understand when I quoted Ecclesiates at them, that talking to me was a waste of time.
I don't think they even know what they believe. I think you should ask them directly what it is they are trying to tell you.

I guess they would be best able to tell you what they believe when they come by next time. Phone books have names and addresses in them. You mail in the mail box or one of your neighbors could provide them with your name and address. Ask them the next time they come by. I have learned not to dis people's choice of religions so i can not tell yo much about them except that they are sure zealous about their version of religion. They come 2 x 2 so they have the advantage over you but that is their way. Ask them.

If you have any questions about the Jehovah Witnesses ask me.
Many people on here posted inaccurate information. We do not reject the deity of Christ, because he came here to do the will of the father, and left a example for us to follow. That is why we are going door to door like Jesus did. Jesus rejected being equaled to the Father, so if you think we deny Jesus being God, then Jesus did so too. Faith without works is dead, and you cannot simpally get salvation without doing nothing to show your faith by actions.
So if you think we reject the deity of Jesus, then you reject the deity of the Almighty God, who Jesus talked and praised consistently.
Matthew 7:21
21 Not everyone who says to Me, "Lord, Lord," shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven.
Blah, I can show a lot of scriptures but I know people don't bother to read them anyway.

I can tell you that they have to go door to door because it is a part of their religion. It is their religious duty to try and convert as many people as possible, basically they are like religious mosquito's.
Borrow a friends big barky dog, ever since we got a new dog they don't knock anymore, they just leave us very ignorant pamphlets about how animals don't have souls.

I am not sure but I don't think they celebrate the birth of Christ (Christmas) of his Resurrection (Easter) and I don't think they take communion. I do know that they do not believe in blood transfusions. It has something to do with the laws of Moses about not drinking the blood of the animal you are going to eat. I don't know about you but I don't plan on eating anyone.
I know if you do not want them to stop by any more all you have to do is put one of those christian emblems on your door (fish with cross).

They do not believe Jesus is who He says He is. What they gave you to read is false doctrine. Throw it away, and don't answer the door next time. Anyone who doesn't believe that Jesus is God incarnate, is of the antichrist. The Bible tells us not even to greet those who come with false doctrine, so you don't even have to take it to be polite to them.
