I think if we hear his voice, we had best listen. When he calls you it may be your last chance for redemption, one last try before you face eternity. Never know. I do know you can hear his voice without a doubt. The day my mom passed, the only thing she said to me, I should say the last think she ever said to me; was " I heard his voice" I tell you, that is the voice I want to hear.

We call it OUR good conscience, when we sense a still small voice telling our heart to be good.
We are not so good, of our own volition! Look at the evil that men do!!!
There is reason to believe the wise GOOD advice of our "better angels" is really GOD.
The Holy Spirit is a comforter and a guide. But we have freedom to follow God's "will" or blasphemously place our own will on the throne of our lives, making ourselves into corrupt gods.

essentially it means listen to what God is telling you. You cannot hear god with a hardened heart. A hardened hart would be the same as ignoring Someone and ar being stubborn.

If today you hear his voice harden not your hearts, means when you hear the word of God take it heart and don't turn away from him.

People are stubborn. We don't like to be told we are wrong. Sometimes when people tell us we are wrong, we do what we want to anyway. Sometimes we even do it after we see that they are right about our being wrong.
When you hear God guiding you, don't fight with Him over it. Don't ignore Him. And don't cop an attitude. You will be glad you listened, and you will regret if you don't.

It means that when your conscience tell you to do or not do something, heed it's word, for conscience is often the voice of God and righteousness.Don't ignore what you know is right.

Sorry, but if you're hearing voices, you should really get checked out by a doctor. It's extraordinarily hard to hear voices from a non existent being.
