and don't respond to Atheist's questions. OR they report the question, of course.

sorry amigo...haven't backed down from an athy question.

Unless you're talking about "why does God make me a gazillionaire" or "can God make a rock so heavy He can't pick it up - what I thought He could do anything."

Some questions just aren't worth the time.

But I'll throw the question back....ever notice how when a really thoughtful question (with sources no doubt!) is posted by a Christian, a whole lot of bitter folks respond?

Or...one I've often wondered, ... when a thoughtful answer is posted back, does the Atheist even consider it, or is there some reason for using the bitter barbs instead of trying to make a rational retort?

NOTE - This does not apply to 100% of the Atheists.

"the truth" as you put it seems like a pretty fague term. I was raised Christian and I have no problem responding to an atheist. I find true atheists to be pretty silly to be honest. An atheist maintains the claim that the exsitence of a God is not possible. That's a really tough stance to defend. Don't get me wrong, theists who claim that the existence of God is an absolute are also putting themselves in a really tough spot. I think a lot of people don't realize how difficult it is to actually be an atheist, but like to be associated with atheism. Proving or disproving an absolute is no easy task.

I'm here to answer any questions you might have, although, don't expect any kind of scientific, or syllogistic logic in my answer, as those are not the foundations of a belief system based on faith.

You sure are generalizing. Nobody ever accuses me of being silent for long or afraid of a question.
I've been reported and had answers as well as questions pulled and you can bet I have flagged some and will continue to do so.
I faced the truth probably before your Mommy met your Daddy and no one here has said anything to change my mind. Jesus is Lord.
Either accept that or don't. It's your butt, mines covered. I don't care what you decide only that you get a chance to compare and decide for yourself.
I care about your freedom to choose in fact I care so much I spent 25 months of my life in Hell just to make sure we all kept that freedom bell ringing.
I would not stand by and watch some one take it away if I had to beat them with the arm of my wheel chair.
So please give me the common courtesy of not implying I'm afraid of anything you could possibly think up.

Well what truth are you taking about? I have found that they answer most questions asked, but I have heard them twist the bible to their advantage. But in the same context I have heard athiest twist a bible phrase to try to make a christian look like a hypocrite. Both side are hypocrites if you ask me. I mean if you are an athiest there is no truth so why are you even worried about what they think. Let them believe what they believe, if you are an athiest it shouldn't bother you. I've heard of christains spreading the word, but never heard of atheist spreading the "not spreading of the word".

I have to be honest. I see all your questions and I dont answer them because I dont have all my facts. Some of the questions you ask, I dont know enough about. Im not that deeply involved with my religion like I should be. I am a Christian. I have strong faith in God as my lord and savior and thank Jesus as often as possible for all the blessings that I have in life. But I must admit that I am not prepaired enough to answer your questions. I dont have all the facts and history. But I do not believe science proves everything and this and that, I just believe and have faith in God.
I personally would NEVER report your questions because you have every right to ask and be curious. You have tons of rights to question other religions and wonder about your doubts. I would NEVER degrade your religion, I just only ask that you don't degrade mine. I havent seen you do that, but I respect all your questions as long as they are not degrading.
I hope you find what you are looking for. Good Luck.

Do you have an example of this alleged silence? Or are you just making false accusations?

BTW, you're generalizing and mistaken. I respond to Atheists' questions WITH the truth. And the only time I ever report someone is for abuse (obscene language, sexual content, racism).

Nope, hey have you noticed that Atheist think Christians silly for believing in God they themselves do not know for sure Does NOT exist? Agnostics are the intellectuals they are smart enough to say I am not sure, Atheist are fools who say that they know there is no God yet the best proof they have is that htey have not seen God. By that logic I can prove the absence of brains in an atheist...I have never seen an Atheist brain thus it must not exist.

If you are an atheist, you have done the philosophy and its adherents and proponents a terrible disservice. I'm a flat out, believing Christian, and I'll BET you that more atheists agree with me on this then not, and here's why:

Your question presumes too much:

First, you generalize to Christians as a group. I, as one of them, become neither silent nor noisy when confronted by the truth. If the presentation is reasoned and courteous, I'm likely to join the conversation. But if it is confrontive and offensive I may ignore it with silence or loudly challenge it. Has nothing to do with the "truth;" rather, has everything to do with the manner of expression. So, your generalization about members of my faith is, itself, now proven FALSE. No thinking person of whatever philosophy will disagree.

Second, by your reference to Atheist's (sic) questions, you are assuming that atheists are possessed of the "truth," and in such stunning measure that the only response of Christians is silence. Whether or not atheists are, or are not, possessed of the truth, the very lively debates and heated arguments among Christians and atheists of all stripes right here on Y/A conclusively demotes the idea that either side often resorts to silence.

In fact, the reasonable atheist, like the reasonable believer of any faith tradition based on God, will say that their affiliation comes of belief -not of sure and certain knowledge. The atheist looks at life and sees no support for God. The beleiver, obviously, comes to a different conclusion.

I'm not sure what favor you expect to curry -among atheists- by framing your question in the way you have. I have plenty of answers for atheists who care to ask me -and atheists have plenty of answers for question I care to ask them. Where this has been done with an honest intellect, some humor and respect for one another's dignity, it has resulted in mutual appreciation and friendliness. Neither atheist nor theist has proof of their persuasion acceptable as such to the other.

The damage your question has just done to atheists and atheism suggests to me -and I'll bet to atheists as well- that your motives lie in closer proximity to phsychological -as opposed to philisophical -imperatives.

I will pray for you.

What truth do you speak of. If I do not know the answer I do not respond, which is in my opinion how it should be. Does not mean I have become silent just that I am not going to try and blow smoke up anyone's backside. And unless it is child protection I have not reported anything. God Bless.

Silent? Usually they pretend they didn't read the inconvenient truth, change the subject and keep on going.

I recently answered a question equating the word "God" with the word "good". I provided the correct etymological history of the word. Apparently, the etymology was not to the liking of the questioner, so the entire question disappeared.
