I will never have sex unless i commit with him to having a very serious, long-term relationship. I don't have sex with a person with whom i just want to have a good time (i.e. short relationship or even casual sex).
Is this the reason why I am finding it almost impossible to get a boyfriend?

okay... first, if not having sex unless it's a long term thing.. how soon do you know if it's going to be long term? what do you consider long term? is long term marriage? okay so really... find the right guy, sex won't matter... also, do you fin yourself making guys jump through hoops in order to prove that they're wanting a long term thing??? and would you consider yourself high or low maintence??? the point of all my questions is this... no sex isn't always the reason for no relationship... look deeper within yourself... look back at all your past relationships... and see what you did right.. what you did wrong.. and what made the relationship ultimately fail...

Its all about the game, I find a woman more attractive who plays hard to get then a woman who is all over you. Its the mystery part that draws a lot of men. And believe me most are willing to wait. But that probably happens in men that are more mature. Maybe you should try and date an older guy. And see if that makes a difference.

well im guessing u are indian..right? and they are about a trillion indians i know that have a sex free relationship,so obviously thats not the problem. maybe you are too shy, not agressive enought. try and be funny, as well as yourself, but ya dont give ! if you can be a beutiful person and the inside and you are confident-which most ppl lack....then there ya go you'll find your self a man. but dont have a boy friend just cuz ya want one. you have to really love the guy, so dont use him as a possession. the right guy will come along when is time so don worry too much

long term relationships are determined by a timeline and you have to be in a relationship first before it turns into a longterm relationship. you mean to tell me that you start a relationship knowing you will only stick with it for a short time.

Could be the most likely reason, but maybe you are just looking in places that have only those kinds of guys. Try alternative places, such as churches and places that promote abstinence.

No .... you can get guys .... not all guys jsut get in relationships for sex ....
when people look for a bf/gf often you dont get them .... wait and give some itme it will happen in good time!

Im sorry but yes it probably is holding you back, many people do not consider this attitude to be anything but uptight and anachronistic.
Not saying that's right or wrong but that's how it is.
