I use to have the same problem. i had at least 8 kind of antidepressant medication, noting worked. On top of every ting, i was very fearful. But I start using progesterone cream (natural), vitamine B6 500mg (one /day), calcium and magnesium, and i became totally different person. I can sleep well , i am not afraid anymore and so on. Progesterone cream and vitamine B6 , regulates your hormones, and calcium and magnesium its a "food" for brain. I hope it helps you, try with confidence, with NO side effects.

You move directly into the path of the anxiety; by doing so it cannot persist because you process the fear out through your emotions.
In essence what that means is that if you voluntarily seek out a panic attack you won’t have one.
Try in this very moment to have a panic attack and I will bet you cannot… Yes, I know the idea of calling on a panic attack is scary at first but play with the concept and watch what happens.
You may not realize it but you have always decided to panic. You make the choice by thinking
“This is beyond my control.”
“These scary sensations are beyond my bodies control.”
It may help if you imagine that having a panic attack is like standing on a cliff edge.
The anxiety, it seems, is pushing you closer to falling over the edge. Each time you fight back using poor coping strategies the more desperate you feel.
To be rid of the fear you must metaphorically jump. You must jump off the cliff edge and into the anxiety and fear and all the things that you fear most. How do you jump?

I have a neat little exercise I do (though you probably know this one) where you breathe in through your nose and then push air out through pursed lips as if blowing out a candle. I also think it helps to sit down, focus on a fixed point in space and just work on getting your breathing under control. For me, getting rid of hyperventilation when I'm panicking is half the battle.

I worked w/ a bright young woman who had to quit her job, as she had panic attacks. We worked with a combination of psycho-therapy exploring her early childhood and "reality" behavioral therapy. That worked beautifully! She found that she had gotten herself into very dangerous work--having to teach teenagers in a special ed program, chemistry. Her panic attacks turned out to be a PROTECTIVE MECHANISM to prevent her from going to teach! They were trying to teach special ed in chemistry etc. She finally realized that her panic attacks were PROTECTING her from participating from this unsafe activity!!---------You probably are a very intelligent person trying to force yourself into something that is unhealthy or that you do not want to do!!! Go see a GOOD therapist who can explore this!!!! Good Luck!!!! Finding one's "REAL" work is priceless!! Explore!!!

I just have to talk myself out of them...I mean I literally close my eyes and say to myself "there are worse things in this world than THIS!" and just breathe....it helps!

There are different ways of meditation that can help. The library will have books on the ways.
