Paul started as Saul and hated Christians killing them all over the holy land until he was blinded spiritualy and fell from his hoarse. Then the bible has two versons of what was said.
Acts 9:5
And he said, Who art thou, Lord? And the Lord said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest: [it is] hard for thee to kick against the pricks.
Acts 26:14
And when we were all fallen to the earth, I heard a voice speaking unto me, and saying in the Hebrew tongue, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me? [it is] hard for thee to kick against the pricks.
So was this Jesus or a voice or is this something else because it called the Christians pricks?

Ha it's called a crappy translation (KJV.) They have a bad habit of adding weird verses. They added one trying to reinforce the trinity idea too.
Acts 9:5
And he said, "Who are You, Lord?" And He said, "I am Jesus whom you are persecuting,
Also prick was something different in the KJV:
Kentron ken'-tron
Parts of Speech TDNT
Noun Neuter 3:663,427
Definition
a sting, as that of bees, scorpions, locusts. Since animals wound by their sting and even cause death, Paul attributes death, personified as a sting, i.e. a deadly weapon
an iron goad, for urging on oxen, horses and other beasts of burden
hence the proverb, "to kick against the goad", i.e. to offer vain and perilous or ruinous resistance
Heh - funny find though. I'm going to remember this one.

It's not calling Christians pricks. It was an expression.
Have you ever retold and account and it isn't word for word exactly every time? I see no problem with Paul's recount.
-Act 9:4 And he fell to the earth, and heard a voice saying unto him, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me?
-Act 9:5 And he said, Who art thou, Lord? And the Lord said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest: [it is] hard for thee to kick against the pricks.
-Act 26:14 And when we were all fallen to the earth, I heard a voice speaking unto me, and saying in the Hebrew tongue, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me? [it is] hard for thee to kick against the pricks.
-Act 26:15 And I said, Who art thou, Lord? And he said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest.
you got to keep reading! It's the voice of Jesus.

Gnostic, for all we know it could have been someone that Saul had bullied the day before. Remember, he was blinded, so he had NO way of telling WHO or what was speaking to him, at least not from visual clues. Also Saul (Paul) was a roman citizen so I kind of doubt that he would have had a front row seast at any of Jesus's actual lectures or sermons, so It is unlikey that he would have ever heard Jesus's voice clearly at any time, therefor he would have been quite easy to fool inot believeing that the voice was that of Jesus. I think it was just some guy on the same road who just decided to pull a prank on him and the prank worked a LOT better than he could have ever hoped for.

Chapter 26 was an expansion on chapter 9. Chapter 9 was Luke relating the event, Chapter 26 has Paul explaining it more fully. It was Christ who spoke to him.
"pricks" means goads, prods. Surely you are not that obtuse.

well,at least we are certain that Saul heard this voice...
I would rather hold down to that story...
In the middle ages, priests made some "corrections" which they saw fit...it is from those that these errors came to be !

It was Jesus talking to Paul, where do you see a problem? I'm sorry, I don't get it, what are you asking? Because I know that when my brother calls, I know who it is within a few words.
Same with my dad, mom, husband, etc. Do you not recognize people when you hear their voice?
