I know I am skinny. And I can't help it. and I am made fun of for it. And the fact that I am tall doesn't help. I have tried to much to gain weight but nothing works! I eat a lot. lol But nothing seems to work. I really hate being skinny. I am not anorexic and some people even think so and I hate it! I play sports. Basketball, volleyball and tennis. I am active mostly. I live in Florida so I swim a lot and go to the beach. I am 14 and weigh about 105 pounds and I am about 5'9. I just want to gain some wieght where it shows so I am not as skinny.
any suggestions? Please help!

Being so active, and eating a lot helps your metabolism function. Either eat A LOT more, or try to cut down on the exercise a bit. I've got a friend who has about the same problem, only he doesnt any exercise, and he couldnt get over 130 to save his life. Also, you could try a little bit of strength training. Nothing too much, but muscle weighs like twice as much as fat...and you'd still be toned up.

Talking to a dietitian is the safest way... that way, you can work with them to set up a meal plan and exercise regiment to help you gain weight.
Also, to note, the WORST way to gain weight is just to eat more... it's moreso eating the right things to gain the weight to make sure you're getting more of the healthy stuff.
As long as you are at a weight where you are healthy, the most important part is that you are HAPPY with your weight... not that you "should be X pounds", but that no matter what you weigh, you are happy with that instead of striving to be a size 2 or something like that

You are a teenager. Many teens are very thin, but they put on weight automatically as they grow older. This is because teenagers have a very high metabolic rate and burn calories fast. So,you should not try to put on weight by eating fatty food, since it will be difficult to lose this fat later.I found this information at http://www.toloseweight.org/gainweight.html

A great suggestion, do not try to gain weight! Once you start gaining weight it is hard to stop. I weighed what you did at your age and I wanted to gain weight, now I am 200lbs. Do not try to gain or lose just let your body do what it does naturally.

Eat lots of breads, meats, and fish. Subway is great for this.
Good luck!!
And remember, it doesn't matter if your friends think you're too skinny... you know you aren't anorexic, so who cares?
If you are dangerously skinny, see a doctor, get his opinion.

eat plenty of healthy fats like avocados, nuts, salmon, and olives. eat frequently and dont make yourself too full in one sitting. i'd recoment having one banana a day and drinking almond milk(lactose free). nutrition bars are also good for gaining wieght. go for ones with lots of calories. promax bars are pretty high in calories, have lots of nutrients, and taste really good. try one :)

Eat fattening foods. Potato chips, cheesecake. It takes 3,500 calories to gain one pound. That means, in order to gain one pound a week, you have to consume 500 extra calories every day. TA-DA!
