You should check this sciatica natural treatment http://cure-sciatica.info
Normally, I would not answer a question like this as my expertise is generally in medication but I had severe sciatica while I was pregnant with my 3rd child (after having had twins) and I had sciatica so bad that I was finding it difficult to walk. I tried massage therapy and physical therapy and could not take medication
I went to the chiropractor and the pain was instantly relieved. My hips and lower back were out of alignment because I had carried twins the year before. On occasion a Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) can also work but they usually only work on one joint at a time - the chiropractor will do your whole back which works faster. Anyone who does not believe in chiropractors will tell you they are quacks - don't listen.
I don't necessarily believe that chiropractors can cure things like diabetes but they can definitely relieve some types of back pain especially if a pinched nerve is involved which is usually the cause of sciatica. Try a reputable chiropractor ASAP!

No cures I am afraid, since back pain is about the commonest chronic human ailment I would be very rich if I had the answer. Most sciatica is dealt with solely by pain relief. We now appreciate that exercise is better than rest. Physio helps many patients. It also helps a lot if you are not overweight!

Sciatica is a slipped disk pressing on the nerve.
(I have had this for nearly a year)

Doctor's prescribed pain killers and physio, neither of which were much help in the long term.

I recently saw an osteopath who was much more help and has set up a recovery program for me. (Collagen tablets & Joint Modulator tablets to be followed up by specific joint movements).

In the meantime, the pain was getting worse and I heard that acupuncture could relieve the pain. I was sceptical but after one session 85% of the pain had gone. I had 2 more sessions as a preventative measure.

Of course this doesn't fix the disk but alleviation of the pain is a worthwhile outcome.

Good luck!

I have had sciatica several times in the past. It can be very painful and uncomforable, but it has gone away after a while. I just had to take ibuprofen and wait for it to go away. Have you been to the doctor he may give you something better.

sciatica is due to trapping a nerve in your back and believe me its very painful i found it useful to take antiflamatories and rest till the pain subsides just enough for you to be able to stretch your back muscles you do this by stretching your upper body to the left and your lower body to the right and then try the oppersit way but do it slowly and try it a couple times a day if you can after all you have trapped a nerve and this will help to release it trust me ive had spinal surgery i works good luck! xx kerry NOTTINGHAM

There is no medicine for almost all painful diseases. Hence they become chronic.
Acidity, excessive wind, cold , heat, sour food and sinusitis, constipation, intestinal inflammation;
Blockage in the flow of Vital Energy are their causes. None of them can be treated with medicine. Our 90% success in treating PAINS confirms it.
Acupuncture is the best treatment. PL CHOOSE A MASTER ACUPUNCTURIST OTHERWISE THE RESULT CAN BE ZERO IN SCIATICA ESPECIALLY.

If you re overweight lose some it wont cure it but it helps prevent it. See a osteopath the only way I got rid to mine was with several sessions of deep massage but sometimes the osteopath can put it back by manipulation. The problem with that can be that the muscles are tensed up with the pain and they can pull it out again.
It was my GP who sent me to a chiropodist
