How does it run? How does it look? How is the interior, paint, etc.. tires?

If it is in average condition I would say around 1000-1500 bucks. But if it is in great shape it could be worth as much as 3 grand...because it is a old body style Camaro..even though 81 is not really a hot commodity body, it could be turned into something very nice...and therfore has value in its potential.

Start looking at other 81 Camaro's for sale. See how they compare and what they are selling for. Try something like old car trader. If you keep looking, you'll find an average price for the car. good luck

PS. If they tell you that they might need new sparkplugs, make sure you take it to a mechanic before you buy it and have it checked. It might need a new engine or some other large repair and that is why they are selling it. Protect yourself from buying a lemon.

Remember that the car is over 25 years old. So it probably needs more than meets the eye. Just becuz they put new brakes and a new battery makes it a pricey car. I would say around 4 to 6 grand is all i would pay for it.

I need to see the picture of the car.

But from only info you gave me, person would probably pay anywhere between $1,000 to $3,500 depending on how much dings/scratches or fading paint it has in California.

u can check www.kbb.com
