I thank it really is a mind thing. Every time you sit hunched over just remember to sit up straight and that you would like to have good posture. When I was in elementary there was a woman who was like a teachers aid or something, anyway she had a hunched back and I heard the other kids saying look at her and trying to explain why her back was that way, I remember one kid saying her back was like that because she didn't have good posture and sat with her back hunched all the time. I just felt bad for the woman and now ever since when I set with a not so good posture this memory comes to mind. And I sit stright.

assuming there's no physical reason for it, like scholiosis or osteoporosis, try walking with a book on your head. that will help you learn to walk with your back straight. when you can't have a book on your head, imagine there's a string coming out of the top of your head and it's connected to your spine, like you're a marionette.
