I ordered Hurricane lamps from them that they advertise as "glass" but they are plastic. In addition to this, they first canceled my order without telling me and I had to reorder. When I called to complain and ask them to rerun the order the representative hung up on me. Now, when I called to complain about the hurricanes being plastic and not glass as advertised the woman was less than friendly and offered me no assistance. My options are to return or not. I am going to keep them because I probably would have bought them even if they were plexi-glass, but the point is they should advertise as such. Thank you for letting me vent and share some insight with other brides out there. Happy planning!

Keep all of your information and report this company to the following agencies:
Better Business Bureau
U.S. Post Office
Contact the Secretary of State in the state that you live and get a name and address of the owner of the company.
Also talk with the Attorney General of your town
and see if they can do anything for you.
Meanwhile, good home improvement stores carry
replacement lamps for the hurricane lamps.
Oh yea, also contact:
www.consumeraffairs.com
They are a good watch group and might fight this one for you.

There are always 2 sides to every story. Decide for yourself if you will use a business by checking with the better business bureau and calling their customer service department yourself. Being in retail, I know that there have been many times that the customer was at fault where they didn't read the return policy or the description on the website. I'm not saying this is the case with this particular website - just that we should all perform due diligence when making online purchases.

I actually bought some tulle from that website. It was advertised as tiffany blue and was NOOO where near that color. The shipping didn't take long at all though. But I guess that doesn't matter now lol. I've decided I'm going to try and get everything I can from local stores. It may require more time and effort but I know what I'm buying and there's no shipping! =]

Not to make your complaint any less valid, because it sounded like a horrible experience! But I used that same site for multiple things for my sister's wedding and I had no problem at all. We actually got some really good deals on stuff. Again sorry to hear about your hard time, hope everything else went off without a hitch :)

Amen to people spreading the news on rude business practices. make sure you spread this on theknot.com and other websites. :P

okay, the poster above me is so rude! you ordered something TWICE and it was wrong. THEN you were hung up on?! i really do not see how you deserved such harsh words. someone above me needs to research on how to be a better human being.

From: PussyStretcher L

Subject: i have researched

Message: how to be a better human being, and found that insulting a c**t (i ** the word just in case someone is offended, as i was) like yourself is the best course of action

** :P well that was not very nice and makes me think you did not learn anything from your research.

i hope no one else is getting rude messages from this person. :P

I'm sorry that you had trouble with them. I placed an order with them for a number of items, which were exactly as advertised, and delivered quickly in excellent condition. I had no problem at all and would order from them again.

Pay no attention to the ingrate that posted 4 above me. Talk about a jacka'ss.

Thanks for the tip, I'm sure all of us appreciate it. I would suggest you report them to the BBB, so you can warn other brides as well.

Best of luck!
