Every day, thousands of times over.
Sometimes by trolls, and sometimes by those who think they're eliminating trolls.
In my view, the Answers community needs to get together to peacefully deal with both of these groups, rather than have to live in fear of both of them.
We must not fight, we must forgive.

I think that anyone that is level 5, 6, or 7 should be immune to the "report abuse" button, since they have already contributed significantly to yahoo answers. However, to prevent abuse of their position, anyone who is level 4 or higher should be able to report them, but only if they stake their own account (If they are right, and the person was abusing Yahoo Answers, then the level 5-7 is deleted. However, if they were abusing the report abuse button, then their account is immediately deleted). These special reports for high-level contributors would be reviewed by panels of real people in order to ensure accuracy. This would prevent people like Pangel from being targeted, since most people who are targeted are regulars...

Eh, some people get reported for things that other get away with. Sometimes people are reported long after a question is resolved and that seems bizzare. Some of the stuff that some get away with his bizzare as well. No matter what, it ends up being a little unfair. I wouldn't go as far as to say it is abused though.

You'd assume that Yahoo can do something as basic as informing the person who reports abuse, that if they find that the feature was inappropriately used, the user gets a flag, likely towards suspension. That should stop some of the trigger happy folks.

I don't know, even for how outspoken I've been, I have not been reported that I know of and I have only reported those who cursed or did something really bad.
but I'd like to know other's opinions too.

it wouldn't be so bad if the Y!admins would read what reported before deciding if it really is abuse.

DEFINITELY! Other people would say we Christians automatically assume it's against us, but when you look at the questions that are deleted, they ARE mostly questions referring to the Christian faith. If anyone else doesn't think so, do your "research"!!!
