Are they sleeping or paralyzed or something? Why don't they move?

They are here to remind us, where we were and where we are to ask their presence. Do not worry about any body's presence, but ensure your presence is sensible and accounted for. Universe is for all of us, let us share it equally with a borne responsibility to preserve it, as we are the mankind with every given gift from that Almighty. The monkeys are like the "Road Runner", and evolution is like "Wiley Coyote".
Every time evolution is about to grab a monkey by the neck and throttle it,----BEEP -BEEP,--------Zip tang---Whoosh.
And evolution goes "SPLAT" into a tree.
But I'm sure they'll keep trying.
