theres a lot of talk about how at this point, illegal immigration is .. just that, illegal. but im looking to see what substantial positive contributions "illegal immigrants" have made to US history and provided for its development into what it is today. any help would be appreciated. Thanks

I'm sure there have been some. Immigrants have made many contributions to society, and I doubt they were /all/ legal.
But, it's as meaningless as posting anecdotal evidence of violent crimes by illegals. That a person who commits a crime is a good or a bad person does not alter the crime, itself. Perhaps a good person might deserve leniency - but then a good person would either stop committing the crime, or accept the punishment as in a case of 'civil disobedience.'

Our concern is with the Illegal Criminal Aliens that are in our country now, not from the past.
I doubt you will find any criminal illegal alien of today that have any positive contribution noted. Unless you want to consider that Elvira Arellano who is cowardly hiding in a church so as not to be deported. Now, she certainly does speak reams of how the illegals obey the rules of this country.
