I have a Toshiba 42 Regza LCD flat screen TV that is just out of warranty, and unforunately, the TV picture is faded out. I can faintly see the picture on the screen as it comes in and out, but I can hear sound perfectly. Does anyone know what the problem might be?

Also, the motion seems to move slower than what I would actually if the screen were working normally.

Backlighting - you can try turning it up and see if that works. Otherwise, thats whats failed - just like backlighting on laptops!

If it is really a dark picture you need a new lamp for the set but if the lamp is lit you need to have the LCD screen or other associated electronics repaired. Unless you just have a loose antenna connection and this fading is loss of signal (analog signal connection only or analog cable box with loose connector).
