ANISH is right. It is an Indian male name.

It means "supreme, paramount" etc.

You already did that with Anish. Great name. The only thing I can think of is Ani, but there's an association with Star Wars that not everyone will like.

Both spellings are ok. The original meaning is probably one who has no master.
