Gosh, haven't you all figured out that Meatbot and friends are taunting you, trying to get a rise out of you, and get entertaining answers?

Sheesh, let's let him get a life, ok?

It's in your power, Christians, to stop this nonsense. If you'll take a moment and try to discern what REAL questions are and what are just attempts to incite you to emotional responses, and only answer the former, they'll eventually lose interest. But as long as some of you are happy to continue ranting and raving at each new question he posts, he'll continue to find entertainment in it.

Resist the urge to answer. Go on. Sit on your hands. Don't type.

I take it as another opportunity to reveal the TRUTH. Faith comes by hearing. We never no when that perfect person will cross someones path and the eyes, ears, mind and heart will be opened. ust use discernement in answering. If it seems to take too much effort then it is probably a waste of your time but other times having your say doesn't just speak the truth but bolsters our own faith.

i be attentive to a lot of Christians who consistently question their faith and study distinctive viewpoints with relative objectivity (as real objectivity is largely impossible). I desire there have been extra human beings like that in the time of all religious or non-religious communities. I additionally be attentive to a lot who have not made any real attempt to aim themselves or their ideals, or purely attempt them against a pretend understanding of another theological perspective. it is the latter group that generally finally ends up leaving a bad impact between non-believers. That reported, i've got additionally met a lot of atheists like this too, and it ticks me off only as lots :)

You have a valid point. I do not recall any questions by this person, so evidently I have not come across them yet. Still, it is sometimes hard to resist the urge to say something, not because I am incited to do so, but because clearly someone is not a Christian if they are making fun of Christ. If someone is not a Christian and is making fun of Christ, for whatever reason, then it's difficult for me sometimes not to respond, because you never know what God can use to get through to them and make them think about things a bit. As a Christian, I sometimes feel that to totally ignore these trolls is to lose an opportunity to say something that God might be able to use to open their eyes.

You are absolutely correct, and I agree with you. I will often ignore these guys, but on those occasions when I don't, I might answer them for the reason I just mentioned, and then I block them from my list so that they can't view my Q/A and try to retaliate by reporting me for bogus things. I have heard that many people on Level 1 are those who are trolls who have had their accounts closed and they will go about their trolling on Level 1 (since they were forced to start over) and they will prey on others who answer their questions and will succeed in getting some people's accounts at higher levels cancelled.

I will take your advice however, and try to resist. Thanks!

Smile I see where you are going on this, but I have to say I dont' think it will work.

Some of the silliest question here about Christianity have been asked by Christians, in my opinion.

For myself, I'll answer those I choose to answer, and ignore those I choose to ignore.

And do my best to follow Jesus example on every one of them I answer.

Matthew 22:35 Then one of them, which was a lawyer, asked him a question, tempting him, and saying,
36 Master, which is the great commandment in the law?
37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
38 This is the first and great commandment.
39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself.
40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.

Censorship doesn't really work for me.

You do always have the option of not feeding the trolls, but there's always someone who needs to vent, so they will take up the cause.

Even if you don't answer, you saw the question and it made you think. My questions do ellicit emotional response, but they are also very serious questions that you really need to think about. Are you advocating that Christians cover their ears like children when they hear opposing views? You hate my questions because they are good questions. They make you uncomfortable because they force you to question your belief system.

Tell me Tim Russert. Tell me why my questions are nonesense. Tell me why they aren't real questions.

By the way, I've reported one person in 8 months.

I agree that ranting and raving does the enemy's work for him, but we must never just *stop* communicating with those trolls. Jesus died for them too. If they never find and accept God's grace, we all lose.

Actually, there will always be "silly questions" on or off the internet, and yes, we do have the commonsense to answer or not to answer. Yet, we do have the opportunity to share the love of Jesus.

Sadly, R&S has all the restraint of a bar room brawl. I think we will always have hateful post from both side.

Here's a thought. Why don't you pray to God to stop the Atheists from coming on R&S? See if that works. If not, then I guess it's a sign from God that the Atheists were meant to be here.
