Eye drops - You are allowed to carry a 3 oz. or smaller container of eye drops in a clear, one-quart plastic bag. There is no restriction on the amount you may carry, but containers greater than 3 oz. must be declared to the Security Officer and cannot be carried in your clear, one-quart bag.
{from the tsa website}
PS and you may bring on eyedrops, they do NOT have to be prescription. They do not have to go in checked bags. see the website

When you're flying anywhere these days, you are allowed to carry liquids onto the cabin of the airplane.
They have to be 3 fluid ounces or less and you are allowed to carry however many 3 fl.oz. containers will fit into a quart-sized plastic baggie.
Don't worry if you are unable to find a quart sized baggie before your flight; appropriate sized plastic baggies are available as you are going through the security line.
- If you are just carrying eye drops INTO the airport and not actually onto the airplane, then there is no special way to carry them. The rules above only apply if you are going on a flight or going past security.

If it is not more than 3 ounces (100 ml approx) you can carry it as long as it is in a separate ziploc bag. All liquids not exceeding 3 oz must be taken in separate ziploc bags each, and you can take up to one liter of separate liquids on board. They will most probably ask you to wear the eyedrops on the security checkpoint.

Angelbaby is correct ( i know she put word for word tsa regulations).
if its a small bottle (ie 3oz or less) go ahead and put it in your quart clear bag. If its a larger bottle or the cleaning solution (if you wear contacts like me) just make sure you take it out of your carry on when you get to security and put it in the bin separately (that's what they mean by declaring it). You shouldn't have any problems. In the case of eye drops and lens cleaner it is not restricted to prescription only, ie it can be OTC.

If you put them in checked bags, it's no problem.
If you bring them on the plane in a carry-onbag, put all little bottles of liquids, toothpaste, and toiletries in one clear plastic bag which you will have to show when you go through security. Don't bring any bottles or tubes over 3 oz/90ml. in your carry on bag. You must check them. Don't bring matches, lighters, lotions, knives, clippers, tweezers, nail files or anything like that on the plane.

If its a prescription, as long as it is in your name you should be ok. If it is something you can check in the place below, then that is preferable to bringing it on the plane. I also think you cannot bring more than 3 oz of any liquid on the plane. YOu can also check the TSA website for more info.

You can take liquid in your carry-on as long as the bottle cannot hold more than 3 ounces. Otherwise, you can put your eye-drops in your checked baggage - or you can buy them when you land.
