i do no longer think of it became a contest. additionally, i've got confidence that being crucified and suffering on the thank you to death became certainly extra of a sacrifice than being ineffective for 3 days. besides, i do no longer have confidence that Jesus got here lower back and spent time together with his friends after he became ineffective for years. consequently, one can have confidence that Jesus, only like numerous different persons you reported is up in heaven, with those others. while you're a believer in Christianity a minimum of. yet another factor could be that i do no longer think of that the dimensions of Jesus' sacrifice is what makes him God's son. He the two is or isn't God's son. His strikes or circumstances do no longer substitute that.

• In His feelings and emotions when they betrayed, mocked & sentenced him
• In His mind as He thought about how He didn't even after to make this sacrifice, considering He was perfect.
• On Jesus' face in the mockers' spit.
• In the wounds on his back where they repeatedly beat Him
• In his shoulders & back muscles when they forced Him to carry His own cross.
• All the way around His head where the crown of thorns pierced Him.
• In the knowledge that He was going through all that for people who hated, betrayed, and denied Him even to this day.
• Through His hands and feet where they were nailed to the cross and which had to support His weight for six torturous hours until He could stand it no longer, at which time He died.

(Of course I may have missed some areas of sacrifice, writing this down so fast. To get a more complete and detailed list, please refer to the New Testament books of Matthew, Mark, Luke, or John.)

So where's your acceptance of Jesus and His sacrifice?

That is a very profound theological question that is hard to understand. There are other aspects to it, but one aspect is the physical pain and suffering Jesus knew beforehand that He would endure if He came to earth to show us the way to the Father.

Edit: Many Christians have asked this question; it's a very good one. I'm sorry for the downright rudeness of some of the answers from 'Christians'. These rude people have not thought their faith thru very far.

Sending you a smile to help pick up your day.

In the minds of the gullible. Anyone with good sense knows that people don't consider it a "sacrifice" to turn in the 1991 Hyundai Elantra rental when they pick up their 2008 Maybach from the shop. A simple comparison of the two makes this clear.

Somehow, I tend to think a real sacrifice would be for god to come down and be a meal for all the people he allows to starve every day. If he could give up his existence in order to provide them with food, now THAT would be praise-worthy.

Violent, brutal torture for 2 days including being whipped, having a thorns jammed into his scull, having nails driven through his hands and feet

Being spit on, mocked, hit in the face, beard torn

The shame of hanging completely naked before his friends and family

And all this for committing no crime. He was innocent.

Jesus Christ was fully human, fully capable of experience love, friendship, and the loss of such after his death. Yes he is alive in heaven, but he gave up much and experience much pain and suffering along the way.

From what I understand: getting whipped, a crown of thorns shoved on your head, beaten, had a bloodied robe torn off his body, and then ordered to carry a heavy wooden cross up to a hill and then having nails slammed down into his hands and feet and then being tortured to death by crucificion where he was slowly suffocated and had to press up on the wounds on his feet to gain a breath of air is not just dying.

On top of that he went to death for the crimes, the evil thoughts, any unkind remarks, and other immoral act that everyone did in their life.

That seems like a pretty big sacrifice to me!!

What is 1260 days? Rev.11:1-3; 12:6,14; What is going on in what time frame?
What is 42 months? Rev.13:5; And again in what time frame?

Have you read how he died? Not pleasant at all. Also his death was not his only sacrifice. Christ was and is an eternal being. He stepped down from Heaven. Gave up his power and privilege to live here as a human. He allowed himself to be born as a human. To live and die as a human. Yes He knew He would rise again. But first He had to suffer. Read his prayer before the crucifixion. He was not looking forward to it.

The sacrifice is that which occured between 'point a' and culminating in the finality of 'point b'.

Quite the simplistic life you lead, eh?

You obviously either know nothing of the story of the crucifixion or have no insight into the methodology of that particular form of execution -- not to mention betrayal -- denial ... suffice it to say it's a torture thing beyond your wildest imagination.
