How do you eliminate the hate from this forum?

If I asked a question that relates to the troll patrol's activities, I might get a large number of answers from their members.

Then all I have to do is change my avatar to something pornographic, and voila! The troll patrol will be busy reporting themselves.

Just kinda shows how senseless their ideas are. And how being so far up yourself is never a good idea.

Actually guys, don't do it, cos it's technically attacking them, which I refuse to do.

Retro, while I agree with your sentiments 100%, OUR being nice, respectful, and non-threatening does NOT seem to be working. Those who insist on being vigilantes are NOT playing by the same rules of conduct. They are reporting innocent folks who make posts against those who are posting lewd Avatars, asking lewd and hateful questions, SOLEY to report anyone who makes a post on those questions. In other words, THEY have become the problem rather than SOLVING the porblem. As their tactics succeed then THEY become emboldened and decide to move onto OTHER innocuaous and "grey" areas. When does it stop? When Y!A is no longer in existence? On several questions I have BOTH responded AND reported the offense. They are baiting folks to respond and seting them up to be subjected to their reporting vigilanteeism. By doing this THEY are inviting everyone else who has been innocent of any wrongdoing but yet reported to retaliate in kind. NOT everyone is like you, Morgana and myself and will simply sit on the sidelines and watch it al happen. Folks WILL get upset and take it upon themselves to retaliate in full force, as much as they are able to. this will leave Y!A as nothing but a battle ground and leave ALL of the REST of us as collateral damage. I will NOT be bullied about by anyone. I am a Witch, and as such, I know very well what allowing ones self to be bullied results in. I am NOT going to be led to the bonfiresor the hangman's nose without a fight. A serious fight. I may NOT win, but I'm going to take people DOWN with me as I go. Vigilanteeism is WRONG in the REAL world and it's CRIMINAL as well. It's JUST as wrong here and Yahoo had BEST nip this in the bud right now before it gets out of hand and ruins it for EVERYONE.

It is impossible. Hate is a human emotion and is easily evidenced in racism, sexual, immigration, political and religious questions and answers.

As an illustration on how hard it would be to eradicate - Good Christians believe in a loving, inclusive and forgiving God but look at the postings from the bad Christians - full of hate for homosexuality, abortion, non believers and a whole host of other things. If Christians show such hatred how can we expect anyone else not to?

How to eliminate hated from this forum.... I wish I knew. I am thinking as I sit here, what can WE do, and then I think it is better to ask, what can I do? Me myself. I can't eliminate it from this forum single-handedly. But I can start with me. I can refrain from asking those sarcastic and baiting questions to which I already know my own opinion and which are only designed to aggravate and provoke what I have cast as the "enemy" for lack of a better term. I can answer questions that are only addressed to persons of my path and refrain from asking questions that are not directed to me. I can answer honest question honestly, and sincerely, and I can play when the question invites a playful response. I can show compassion when the asker is hurting.

I can show respect, even when it is not offered to me, and decline to get into a debate that has turned form a sincere information gathering event and has descended into a knock down, drag out, "us against them" fight.

I can have dignity and hope for dignity in return.

In all these things, I can GO FIRST, by which I mean I can be the first one to offer the hand of friendship and respect, without saying something as childish as "he started it" and without waiting for someone else to show me respect and tolerance.

What a truly provocative question. Thanks for drawing attention to what appears to be a problem that is getting worse and worse.

How to eliminate hatred....
I don't think we can. I can tell you one thing though, we have the dark nature within us as well. I know I have it. I lurks there waiting for the next opportunity to strike out and manifest itself. We have to be ever vigilant. I don't think we can ever remove it from our own psyche, if we do then we are technically vegetables. LOL

It will be very hard to stop them, since their identities are anonymous. I'm trying to come up with something, I don't feel very comfortable with more than 100 vigilantes running around on my beloved Y!A...

seem I consider you. i'm no longer racist and that i think of racists are incorrect. yet unfastened speech is risk-free and which potential racists have the splendid to declare and picture in spite of they desire as long as no person is injury.
