I don't...I have all the proof I need right inside my heart and soul.No disbeliever or satan himself can take that away.I don't need to prove it to anyone.I know it,because I have it inside...Jesus!

You think there was never a time when each christian out there who really "studies" the Bible didn't have doubts like you? Nobuddy wants to be schtoopid. I, like many people before me and after me, searched long and hard for proof that the Bible wasn't the real deal....every single arguement that was ever spat out by a Bible basher has been researched as far as I am able, even recently...so far I haven't met a single solitary assertation that hasn't been the standard typical scripture taken out of context, misquoted, taken from the wrong version, twisted or all of the above...Not yet. Ironically this search of the scriptures has increased my faith, not lessoned it. As well it has forced me to take my eyes off the church or other Christians for the answers I need and go directly to the source. Of course, Christians fear to some extent or another that someday someone might produce some sort of proof that the Bible is fraudulant, that evolution really is how we all got here and that there is nothing but death to look forward to...I don't fear that and I dare you, defy you and encourage you to the point of offering you monitary gain to find me proof that the Bible is untrue as many have attempted before only to fail miserably..but you won't and no one else will or can. Its simply not possible. The proof is the Bible itself. Read Rev 11 and reseach the mystery yourself and ponder this...the "age of reason" supposedly began in the mid 1800's yet no philosopher, atheist or secular humanist has ever provided anything but uneducated rhetoric regarding biblical truth, no deauthentication, no conflicts, no incohesive unity to produce and nothing remotely close to anything that appears contrary to the evidence that the BIble is a unique and dynamic compilation of writings. What is conclusive is that to have 66 books plus the apocrypha written over 2600 years by so many different authors you would think there would be something somewhere. So the question should be...if you believe the Bible is false then why do you keep trying to find proof that it is...shouldn't you have some already? Love in Christ, ~J~

Every story in the bible, if people choose to do the research, is a fascimile of some legend or story from Sumaria. These stories span everything from Noah to the Apocolypse (Which means new begining, not the end of something)
Noah and most male bible heroes are related to a character known as Gilgamesh, he even survived a "world-wide" flood on a boat with creatures to repopulate things.
Although these stories were written some 1400 years before the bible was.
It's called assimilation of culture, when people weilding the bloody sword of christtianity came shotgunning into these territories they absorbed the culture and stories of whoever that society once was.
It's far more obvious in the middle east that america where things have been watered and spun even harder.

The Bible is true and contains the word of God.

I'm not sure what you are saying when you say I keep trying to find proof that it is.

The proof I have received is a spiritual witness given by the Holy Ghost.

I don't. I merely try and help people along the way who are not as certain. Declared enemies of the Bible can be ignored as they are presumably already happy. That the Bible is true is obvious. It describes the human condition of people which we see every day in life. The good, the bad, the mad sad ugly and evil. Nothing changes. Proper relationships between men and God are the crux of the teachings of Christ. The message of the Bible is clear which is why it is so despised by the world.

The bible proves itself. Isa 30:25-26, a great slaughter was foretold when towerS fall in a day when the sun is 7 fold/global warming. Nahum 3:8, "Populous No" New Orleans whose rampart was the sea & wall from the sea was foretold to be destroyed. Just a little thought provoking KJ verses. God doesnt need man to prove Him. Did all creation just happen? The floor you stand on didn't just happen. It had a designer. Look at creation and tell me WHO BUT A MIGHTY GOD COULD DO SUCH WONDERS?

you question is a contradiction.

Christians that believe in the bible are not looking for proof. You are mistaking waiting for Jesus to return, with waiting for proof. 2 different things.

What do you mean by "true"?

Sure, the Bible is ultimately a book about an unseen God acting in one particular part of human history. They said it, but I can't "prove" it. Nobody can.

We CAN find historical evidence that certain places and events described in it existed and could have occurred (through archeology, review of comparative ancient literature, etc.) That has SOME value. But ultimately, the core claims of Scripture ARE a matter of faith.

Gee, is that what it 'seems' like we christians are doin'? I was under the impression, that the purpose for sharin' the Word of God with people, was to reveal the 'truth of God's love' for them. As it was demonstrated by the life, death, & ressurrection of Jesus. The only 'real proof' any one can hope to have is the 'revelation of God, given by the Holy Spirit'.
