Akuma is it. Oni is an ogre, a folklore thing. In the context of the Bible or Christianity, it's always akuma. Akki is a kind of oni, an extremely evil-minded one, and sometimes shows up in horror or fantasy anime. I've rarely heard of tenma. Only hard-core anime fans would know what it is.
Akuma: demon (the accent is on the first "a.")

The most common translation of "demon" in Japanese is:
悪魔(akuma)
Note: 悪霊(akuryou) is also fine but 悪魔(akuma) is more common and generic.

there are two words you might use. The first one, KAMI, means a spirit in general, it would apply to both a devil and an angel. The second word you could use is the second part of INU-YASHU, it should be yashu, but I don't know if it would be spelled the same when divided into the components. the whole word means demon dog, and the word for dog is INU. I would suppose it would depend upon what context you are going to be using it in as to which word you would choose.
