Ok number one I think he is fine. To all the people below me who say he thinks he knows what hes talking about...he does and alot more than you do. Sometimes he says things like that because he has to. He just says what NASCAR would want him to say. So unless you become an anouncer or a NASCAR driver. Get lost.

Rusty Wallace knows racing, but is not a good color man in the broadcast booth. I actually like Rusty Wallace as a former racer, but he needs to be in another aspect of NASCAR and not in the booth. I actually thought Dale Jarrett was better than Rusty on the race that he didn't run at Indy.

Good driver, terrible broadcaster. To do color commentary, you need an upbeat voice and an outgoing personality. Poor Rusty sounds like he is reading from a script sometimes. I think that ESPN needs to throw in the towel after the end of this season, admit that their NASCAR coverage is a total clusterf**k, and let FOX carry all the races in 2008.

It's his first year but I prefer it when Dale Jarrett filled in so he could go call the IRL snooze fest off the weekend. And get rid of that basketball player I don't need to hear about the difference in of the floors in the New Boston Gardens and the Old Boston Gardens and how that is related to car racing.

Rusty should be a poster child for Steve Wallace. I can't stand when his son wrecks. There is too much going on for him to be objective during the races.

I agree! He is ridiculously annoying! Why does ESPN mess up nearly everything they touch? They did it to Monday Night Football, now they are doing it to NASCAR! The sad part is, Rusty has the most credibility out of all the NASCAR commentators they have!

I don't like to hear him in the broadcast booth. He was a good driver but that don't mean they should just give him a job in the booth.

When Rusty was racing he was a good driver and mostly had good habits on the track but I disliked him. Why? Cause he was so darn annoying when he got out of the car and started talking. So they make him a full time announcer????

He was a great driver in his day...But he is awful in the booth, something about his voice, he knows the sport but he is just boring....Put Kenny up there, he'd aleast keep us awake.. Its to bad the Fox guys can't help out, atleast one of them per race, Hammond, MacReynolds or DW..

The best racers turn analysts are B.P. and D.W. Dale Jarrett did pretty good in the Busch race a few weeks back.
