I would love to be able to answer my own question, but I can't. And some days I don't know if I really do. I don't have a faith to scare me into belief, I just have a feeling. What do you have?

I don't have faith to scare me into believing. My belief comes from within and it is something that I have had as far back as I can remember. I did not grow up going to church so I do not have that as a background, but even as a child I felt a connection to God. I believe it is because I am open to listening to Him speak to me and I don't give in to those that can't believe because they can't see God. You can't see love, yet we believe in love. Thankfully for me, I believe in both.

I believe in God because without Him our lives are meaningless. Why are we here if it is not for us to search for God? Some say it is to evolve the human race. I don't see much impotance there in the grand scheme of things. What does it matter to us living now how the human race is say 1000 years from now? These are the questions I thought of when I first started questioning God's existence. Then I learned of Jesus Christ, and there are a lot of archaelogical pieces of evidence for His existence. The Bible is another piece of evidence for me. It is not because Christians say it is written through divine intervention, but the way it reads. It comes off as very loving and very inspirational. Yes, there are a lot of bad things in the Bible, such as the many deaths. However, I look at the overall picture. Furthermore, I am a molecular biologist which makes me question God even more. Especially from a biological point of view. This lead me to do some research on my own. I have since read numerous books relating science and religion. This has impacted my belief beyond words. The proof is out there. It is just a matter of who wants to look for it.

I believe in God because I have lived to experienced the presence of him in my life and the absence of him in my life. If there is no god, my life would remain constant in situations where I followed God and ones where I didn't follow Him. Whether or not I prayed wouldn't have a baring on what happened at all because no one would be there to answer them.

When I have prayed about things in the past, I have gotten a great peace about things and stopped worrying about a situation. When I failed to pray, I was plagued with stress, worry, anxiety, and depression. When I chose to distance myself from God, I felt overcome by darkness and sadness. I felt disconnected with everything around me -- family, nature, and friends. When I acknowledged God as my Lord and my Savior, I was given joy in the hardest of times. I was granted requests that I never, ever thought could happen. I was given dreams and visions that were indeed from God. When I chose to ignore God's call, I walked in a path that was leading down a destructive road. I was going no where fast. When I ran to God, I had purpose. I had something to wake up for every single day. For me, it is more than a feeling. It is my experience.

I believed in god when I was a kid because people told me to and said never to question. Once I had the personal freedom to learn and understand whatever i wanted to I found no proof of the existance of a "god", I found i had no need for religion. Church is boring and teached you to hate yourself for being whatever it is you are. Religion teaches self denial, and lying to yourself should be the only real sin in any religion. If Jesus existed, I don't believe he was anything more than a prophet who got too much coverage and spin.
People back then believed alot of regular and natural things to be miracles or something devine. Therefore I feel that maybe Jesus' deeds might have been....Overexaggerated.
Now I believe in knowledge, and finding things out for myself. I don't believe in useless knowledge, because you can use anything you know in your favor. Free will is not an incorrect thing to have, and good and evil....They're just points of view. There are obvious things that are moral/immoral. But to call something good or evil is simply that person's opinion.

just have faith that there is a light at the end of the tunnel. I know its hard to believe the most important thing I think is that you have faith in yourself. Know that you are good. Take care of yourself by eating right of course but I mean mostly make the right choices in life. do the right thing it might sound hard but it really isn't as long as you know right from wrong and you probably do. you also can live by the ten commandments they are good rules whether or not you believe in God or not. good luck to ya !

I believe because when I look at how beautiful the earth is, the flowers, stars at night, the balance in our air we breathe, the precise placing of the earth so we get all the seasons and how perfectly we are in the right place from the sun, how can you explain that? There has to be a designer of it all. There is intelligence to have such order, and it didnt happen by chance. Not only that he even has given us a book that helps us to know him better, and on top of that he sent his son, the most precious to him to die on our behalf.

I believe in God because my life has been changed by him, I've seen the sick healed and paralyzed people walk out of there wheel chairs, God is the same yesterday, today and forever ! He does not change ! He is still in the miracle working business today ! Trust in him and confess your sins and he is faithful and just to forgive you of your sins and cleanse you from all unrighteousness !

Everyone questions that, and its ok to do so. I personally believe cause just thinking about the human body, for the most part it works perfectly, everything working together electricity in your brain and heart... lungs.. liver which is like a filter..everything about is truly amazing to me. So for me to believe that we formed from some single cell organism and just evolved?! Now that's crazy!

Because the alternative would be believing in a universe that originated in a cipher and is rushing madly to nowhere and I can't believe THAT . God is Love and everyone has the capacity to know Him , it's human beings who mess it all up .
