If this has already been paid you are going to have a terrible time getting them to delete it. All they are required to do is show that it's "paid" but it will still be a negative on your report.

You need to get them to agree IN WRITING to delete it before you pay them.

Unfortunately, the collections will stay on your report for the seven year period even if they are paid.
The best thing that can happen at this point is for the bureaus to update your report to show that the accounts have been paid.
If you like to do that, it just takes a simple letter. Make a subject line at the top of the letter that says: Corrections to credit report.
Explain the situation....make a copy of the credit report (or the page that account is on), make a copy of your receipt from the collections agency and ask if they will update the account's status. They have 30 days to correct it and send you a new report.

I have to agree you should of made arrangements for deletion BEFOR the bill was paid..I think it's too late now as well

It is a simple process. I have some form letters. It does take up to 30 days to clear up, but it is fairly straight forward.
