There is no-one who knows if we are in end times (though there are a lot of people who think they know). Even though the greatest Christian scholars of history have all been Catholic, Jesus said that no-one would know the time. So the Catholic Church doesn't waste time trying to make such impossible predictions. The "signs" that some people point to as evidence that the end is near have been present in every century since apostolic times. And, there have been people in every century since apostolic times who were sure the end was near.

yes. But I am not a scholar, nor do you have to be to notice our world is on the brink of something.

"'Too many people treat their neighbors dishonestly. The world is full of hatred. You will know my Second Coming is at hand when you see the outbreak of religious wars. Then, know that I am on the way.'"

No, the Catholic Church never presumes to know when the end of time will be, because Christ Said "Only the Father Knows."
That does not mean that the Church discourages us from preparing for the end, because, although it may not come for another 1000 years, we ourselves will only last a short while, before we individually come before Our God.

grab a bible and read revalations. i think it's john speaking or wirting or something. but it basically tells about the vision he had about the earth and judgement day. i read the last page of revalations and was accually pretty suprised. u can ask about that book in the bible with a priest or a pastor and see what they say. but i think it's pretty descriptive about how the sexually immoral, murderers, liars, those who practise magical arts , etc go to hell.
