When some person has crossed you, everyone else says don't worry 'what goes around comes around'
So does that mean I've got to wait for a third person,to be nasty to them ??
Why can't I just knock their teeth out,and save the third person the bother!!

Because then you will be no better than them.
I know a few people who don't seem to get what they deserve, but I live in hope.

It is often not always true that the pigs in this life sooner or later get their come uppence. Not necessarily by a punch in the throat but in some other way. You must have experienced this. The expression annoys when you are the victim of a dirty one and want to ring the living daylights out of the person concerned but you know the consequences are not worth it

I think becoming stuck in some sort of made up scenario to do with some wrong that another has done to you holds you back. When another person upsets us by being horrible or doing something awful the want for revenge holds us back and gives the situation more power in our lives to up set us. Perhaps it is better to deal with the situation when it happens and then let go.

We are all responsible for our actions and sometimes people who do nasty things don't care about cause and effect. So praps we have to remember not to give the bad situation more power by justifying it with our own wrongs.

I catch myself saying this expression too much. I guess I do not tire of it. I think it helps to calm my hurt feelings at the time so that I don't act out in a way that I would later regret. I know it can be hard to do though. I do consider the expression to be true, if that helps. I hope so.

Because then someone will come and knock your teeth out.

Part of growing up is learning to let go and not always want revenge. Sounds like you have a way to go.

Do whatever you believe is just - - you sound like you need to get a grip on your anger issues - you are a very spiteful person - that would help eliminate people having to tell you the laws of "what you do can and will come back to you".

INTELLIGENCE DICTATES: If more than two people tell you the same thing, it is more that likely TRUE.

I know what you mean, as myself I use this saying but when I think about it I'm like well I probably wont know about it? (when they get they're getting paid back) & I want to be able to see it, but I guess it's just one of those things things happen's in the right time for them usually when they least expect it.

I think it's cobblers. People resort to "sayings" when they can't think of anything useful to say.

Only the other day, at the supermarket, I put all my eggs in one basket. Nothing untoward happened.
