I'm not exactly sure what your point is.
I believe that a lot of what is in the Bible is out of date. I don't think I should throw rocks at Wiccans, I don't think I should "beat my slaves", and I don't think that I should burn people for having a different sexual proclivity than mine. Obviously you don't believe these things are correct anymore either, or you would be in prison.
Yes, of course there are older books than the Bible. That goes without saying really.
What church do you go to that has Krispy Kremes? Can I get in on that?
As stated before, I'm not sure what you are lashing out against. There have been MANY updates to the Bible. Most of them just haven't caught on in a widespread manner yet. But then again, the Bible wasn't an instant best seller either.
Maybe you could give a bit more info before you ask this question again... then i could answer it more fully.

There have been many other sacred texts written down from ancient oral traditions, look into any other religion besides the ones stemming for Abraham! Temples in the east, Africa, south and central America are covered in carvings- serving as text for the old cultures. Many of today's authors write books which could be considered sacred for modern society if they were willing to use such a title.
Concerning the Christian faith, many books circulate as popular reading for groups to study- focusing on modern issues supporting and using the Bible for verification. The stories of the Bible can be interpreted into modern issues when a person had studied the history of that time - all of the references to bridegrooms and constant reference to marriage traditions are hard to fully understand without the knowledge of the practices of that time. There is more to every faith than sitting in a building every week and listening to one person's interpretations!

So I take it that you do not put any truck in this new testament stuff. Obviously if it had any basis in God's Truth it would have been all included in the OT to save a lot of time and trouble. Or at least there would have been an accurate prediction of what was going to happen (names, places, exact dates etc.)
I also take it that you never mix fibers in your clothes, no cotton/polyester blends for the true followers of God's word. Eating shrimp and lobster are forbidden too.
The Egyptian Book of the Dead is older than any bible in existence. So will you worship Osiris?
Since the Hindu religion is older than the bible, it's books pre-date the bible and are older. So you should be converting to Hinduism now.
When will you actually engage your brain before asking questions like this?

i do no longer unavoidably agree along with your premise that the rustic replaced into in keeping with Christianity so Christianity ought to proceed to rule. there is not any attraction to God or Christianity because of the fact the only actual faith interior the form. it incredibly is a mundane record. there's a point out of God interior the statement of Independance however the "God" observed in that record isn't precise as Christian. additionally, that record isn't regulation and replaced into written and signed numerous years till now the republic replaced into shaped. it incredibly is merely a itemizing of greivances wtih the British Crown. Taking your premise at face fee although - that the government replaced into shaped on the inspiration of the Christian faith - if the founding fathers wanted to institutionalize the function of religion interior the government, that they had each threat to realize this and fairly chosen to no longer. There could have been ideals of the bible in our governments formation, yet they did no longer make biblical tenets the regulation. they could have, yet they did no longer for many motives. in particular, they wanted non secular freedom for this new u . s .. i'm no longer an athiest or agnostic. i've got faith everybody has a staggering to stick to in spite of non violent relgion they desire. maximum important religions have a similar consumer-friendly innovations. All religions are a pathway to God. stay and permit stay. I observed a quote the former day that fits this: The previous is a guidepost; no longer a hitching positioned up.

God sent different messengers at different times and in different regions. The message carried by each messenger was time and territory bound until came the last messenger named Muhammad (PBUH) who was sent for whole the mankind and whose name and arrival is mentioned in the old testament of Bible.
When more messengers were sent by God in a the same region then the teachings of previous used to be replaced by the teachings of new prophet under evolutionary process.
Yes Bible was meant for a particular region and time so it has been replaced by the last word of God i.e. Qur'aan and we should follow it now.

The Bible talks about many things, and does speak of events that happened during the times when it was written.
However, it is a timeless word, meant for all generations. Why people forget that, I do not know.
It speaks of God, and He is the same ALWAYS, and of course, that also means His will and word.
It speaks of the nature of man, and THAT hasn't changed either.
It is all very valid.
The "pastors" that don't want to believe what the Bible says aren't very credible at all. On what grounds then can they possibly base their faith? What faith?

It depends on what you mean by older book?
The Diamond Sutra is the oldest extant printed book.
Hand written Hindu Vedic scripture goes back many thousands of years.
The bible, printed or otherwise, is a relative newcomer.

The Holy Bible is composed of 66 separate books, letters, poetry, epistles......and it is God' Word for time and eternity. From the very beginning people have tried their level best to destroy or discredit it. God watches over His Word,.....and the gates of hell will never be able to wipe it out or to disprove it! There is nothing else in the entire history of mankind like God's Word. It has survived all hell has brought against it. It is relevant today.....of course. Mankind never changes........therefore God's Word is relevant to each and every generation. May God be praised for watching over His Word, and to perform it!
