Plants dont have feelings!! People eat vegetables and stuff all the time!! Come to think of it that would suck, if the next time you bit into a hamburger...your lettuce yelled..."dont eat me, dont eat me"!!

Seeds don't tend to drown so they could float for a while then take root so a flood wouldn't wipe out the plant population completely. Of course while the plants were regrowing the whole animal population on the ark would starve so someting seems even more amiss with the story.

Unfortunately, most if not all of the plants, except those at very high elevations would have drowned or been crushed by the extreme pressure of the water. The supposed olive tree would had had to be growing well above it's normal elevation limit in order to have flourished so soon after the flood.
The massive amount of water pressure would have crushed most, if not all, seeds.

The seeds of many plants can survive in the ground and the dove brought back an an olive branch when Noah released it, proving that there was at least one olive tree already large enough to make a branch.

Yes, plants can drown, but their method of reproduction (the seeds) can and did survive and, once the earth dried up, they would have been able to thrive again. I live in south texas where we have had plenty of flooding lately...several of the plants in my yard died from being buried under a foot or two or water...but just yesterday I saw that many of them were sprouting new life (new shoots off of "dead" stalks or sprouting new plants from seeds buried in the mud). My dog wouldn't have been able to come back to life if I hadn't protected him from the flood waters but some of my plants lived through it and others have been able to start growing again after they died.

Yeah, they can drown, but there seeds can survive (either underwater or floating on the water). The soil would have been very fertile after the flood and would have allowed the plants to grow back quickly.

God didn't want to Noah to keep the plants so that the "Tree" that caused all humans to have "Original sin" would be destroyed (thus eliminating the proof that he wanted to keep humans stupid)
Or maybe he figured the dinosaurs needed to get their feet all tangled in the plants and drown.
Or maybe plants are of the devil (he's supposed to be the god of this world, ya know!) and are evil. (can you imagine that? We've been being spied on by those evil grasses our enitre lives!! ACK!!)

That's a good point! These little things that people find in the bible that doesn't makes sense at times makes you really wonder if this was real or not. The dude was loaded he had the stash in his ark somewhere so that the angels won't arrest I mean find it.

What are you talking about?----His cabin was full of pot,------and how can you blame him if those damn elephants ate all the Spinach?---He would have kept more seeds, but there just weren't enough pockets in that dress he was wearing.
Remember he hadn't bathed for about a year, and many of those seeds started sprouting in his pockets and cutting off his circulation. He had to dump them in the drink.
If you're craving better salads,----go create your own.
Damn vegetarians,--------think they own the place.
