Why do you guys believe in it, there is evidence that it was just a story based on the infamous Gilgamesh. The Adam and Eve story, the Garden of Eden is not real, we cannot locate it, its just a place somewhere, maybe it died away, but its not real now, and the great flood, there was a flood yeah but, that could have gotten a story fit into it. Another is the creation of the world, no god did not create the world, if he did he was stupid and for got about other galaxies, they are there too, the earth is made by the core of mealting lava, and then the layers grew within billions of years, the humans come from primates, and the primates came from dinosaurs that were once living, and dinosaurs came from fish, and fish came from bacteria, and thats how all of us got started we are just like bacteria, we all came from one, and some time soon we will evolve again.

What I am about to write means NOTHING to most people. It is the most definitive reason and yet it is perhaps the most ignored subject when discussing "Why does anyone believe the Bible". This is the answer I am giving you.
Get this, and you will NEVER have to wonder any more.
In John 16, Jesus promised something that would happen after He ascended. He said,
7 But I tell you the truth: It is for your good that I am going away. Unless I go away, the Counselor will not come to you; but if I go, I will send him to you.
That is why we believe the Bible. We are convinced by the Holy Spirit that what the Bible says is true. I have felt the Holy Spirit and His influence when I trusted God and initiated the contact by faith. God actually initiated it, I merely went along with Him . . . . finally.
What the Spirit of God does is convince, He teaches, and He actively draws certain people to the word of God. That relationship is often called 'edifying'. Because He edifies the word, He makes it understandable.
Quite ironically, that is the proof that so many are missing of God. They don't have it, don't understand it, and make all kinds of excuses that God doesn't exist. But He does exist, except that God chooses who gets the proof, and who doesn't. Most people will not receive the truth. I have received it, and am telling you about it now.
That answers your question; "Why do you believe in the bible?" Because the Spirit allows me to believe it.

solid morning to you. i could respectfully ask which you communicate right here 2 factors and clarify how they could have been a consequence of something different than divine concept. (a million) At activity 26:7 we study "the guy who's amazing the earth upon no longer something". How did the Bible author be attentive to this to be the case hundreds of years until now area exploration proved it to be real and at a time while the precise opposite became the triumphing scientific know-how. (2) some critics declare, while somebody mentions fulfilled prophecy , that any you may make a obscure knowledgeable guess and characteristic something come real. yet is that what the Bible incorporates? The Prophet Isaiah foretold the autumn of historical Babylon in minute element.... from the reality that the super doors to the city gate could inexplicably left open to the call (Cyrus) of the protection tension commander who could take down that super empire. in actuality, so distinctive became the prophecy AND its fulfillment that critics claimed it became rather historical past masquerading as prophecy. properly, the critics have been completely silenced while parts of the Scroll of Isaiah dated approximately 2 hundred years until now the events Isaiah wrote approximately have been discovered between the ineffective Sea Scrolls. Ooops

I Believe in the Bible because of the nonsense that you have typed here explaining your belief in evolution and such. I know that a Higher Being (God) exists because there are so many prophecies in the Bible that have already come true such as explaining that in the end times, what is wrong will be called right...and what is right will be called wrong. Also.. my husband is living proof that God exists!! My husband has a malignant brain tumor and the doctors told us that he only had a year or 2 at best to live....my husband has surpassed this by almost 2 years and he is alive and doing well. Another reason I BELIEVE is because of my daughters....I look into their eyes and know in my heart and soul that they are both a gift from God. My friends, my family, the flowers, the birds, the trees, all of nature....I know that a big bang could not have made any of these things possible..
Please, don't tell me that you believe in the BIG BANG THEORY, there is no proof of this...and there is also NO PROOF OF EVOLUTION...IT IS ALL THEORETICALLY SPEAKING!!! There is also NO OTHER LIFE FORMS IN ANY OTHER GALAXIES. GOD made the heavens and the earth...HE did it in 6 days and then HE rested on the 7th...
Satan wants you to believe everything the way you do, since that will give him your soul for eternity when you die. If you keep on believing things such as evolution, then you will go to hell's fire. I will (as I always do) keep those in prayer for those who are unsaved to be born again and come to the foot of the Cross where Jesus Christ died to pay the price for the sins of all the world. Jesus IS Coming Back, and when that time comes...you will be wishing to God that you did believe in HIM while you had the chance!! I hope for your sake that you don't wait too long!!
May God Have Mercy on Your Soul!!

I want to start off by saying that your facts are so incorrect. I have done my homework, and boy there are many facts. Why do I even bother, because how dare you call my Lord stupid, when humans are stuck up on ignorance. Why do you think God came to lay his life for you, just to do it for pleasure. No!!! He died on that cross for me and you. I am so human, and would say I am a Christian because I am a believer of Christ. God, Jesus is all about friendship and fellowship not religion. People for what ever reasons do what will work to help to get the message across, but in the bible God talks about false witness, fake churches, because we shouldn't put all our trust in mankind. Our bodies are the church, because Christ ministers to our souls. Stop and think before you sit down and put my Lord down. Why not earth, just look at it, and look at the other planets, again he loves you. But you are the only one that could open your heart to him no one else. I love Jesus with all my heart, and still will be human. Will never be perfect as God, but perfect in his image, because I am his creation...
Find a good church that will speak the truth that is in the bible, my church preference is Pentecostal, as it talks about it in the old testament in the Holy Bible, you will feel the power of the Holy Ghost. I read my word, pray, and love my Jesus.

I believe the Bible because I know in my heart it is true. As to eden try reading the Bible. It answers why it is not seen. I will provide the verse at the bottom.
As to evolution. I am a biologist. I am currently working on a PhD in biology. I can tell you evolution has more holes than swiss cheese. As I recently read evolution is scientists trying to piece together the past and telling the One who was there He is wrong.
Gen 3:24 So he drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden the Cherubim, and the flame of a sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life.

I find it bothersome that you are portraying evolution in a false manner. We (as organisms) are constantly evolving, if only in ways that aren't obvious (genetics, resistance to infections, etc). Big differences only happen after incomprehensibly long periods of time and after uncountable numbers of changes in the world.

Similar stories does not make the Bible false. Evolution does not make the Bible false. In fact, nothing has proved the Bible false yet. I believe it because I have faith.

Because its a Testiment of Jesus Christ. You just refuse to accept the truth, no matter what I tell you, so there is no chance that if I answer your questions that you'll believe me. Its hard to find the truth when you are unwilling to accept it. I'll just tell you this one thing, if someone really thinks about it, Science and Religion match up perfectly.
