The only thing I know of is allergy desensitation shots. They test you to see what you are allergic to. Then they give you shots which are a tiny fraction of the allergin. Over several years, they build up the dosage until you no longer react to the substance in the environment. I had a series of desensitation shots that lasted nine years. I had three shots at a time once per week for five years, then it went to twice a month and finally once per month until I was done. I have very little problem with pollen allergies now. I used to be house-bound this time of year and I have not even needed an antihistamine. It has been nearly six years since I discontinued the shots. However, they took two years after starting the shots to start helping and five years before I felt the maximum benefit. If you have good insurance, I recommend the shots.

I'm not sure if it would apply to you, because I think it depends on what you're allergic to - but if you have seasonal allergies, ask your doctor about shots. There is a shot you can get for hay fever and other such symptoms, I believe if you take it at certain intervals for a few months, you're done. In most cases the symptoms go away, and for the people whose dont disappear completely, they're MUCH MUCH better.

There is a treatment that gets rid of them one at a time at first, and then several at a time later. Problem is you'll need re-treatment in about 10 years. It has worked for me. The website looks corny and "off the wall", but this alternative treatment actually works. Good luck.
