my dermatologist prescribed me Brevoxyl-4 Acne Wash to keep my acne away after i finished using my accutane. The first four weeks i have been on it have been amazing! Great results. But its around the 5-6 week and I noticed that my nose seems to be breaking out a little bit. I get tiny white heads with a little red around them. Is this normal? I know on a few occasions i have used the wash twice a day. Could this be causing me to break out? I want to wait and see what happens before i call my dermatologist back. What should i do? Can someone explain the over usage effects of Brevoxyl and whether or not i should call the dermatologist or wait?
Thanks

the first thing you acn do is to use is exactly as prescribed, if you are doing that already, then give yourself a break for a day or two and see if you improve or get worse. otherwise its never harmful to call your doctor unless its tthe middle of the night and your call was not regarding a life threatning emergency! good luck

Benzoyl peroxide is a drying agent that dissolves the oil from your skin. Overuse can lead to irritation of the skin causing dryness, itching, redness, and or pain. If you're worried about it, you can try using less applications of the benzoyl peroxide per day or just call your dermatologist and tell them what's going on.

I hope this helps.
