What were your thoughts upon clicking this thread?
--- Is this a sarcastic post or is there someone who's going to say something like "Look at the sky! Isn't a beautiful color blue! Surely there HAS to be a god for that!". I looked at who asked it and didn't recognize the name (sorry). I thought I had nothing to lose but wasn't going to answer if I'd said the same stuff elsewhere a million times before.

What did you assume my religion to be?
-- I didn't.

What was your opinion of me?
-- I don't think I had one - not further than the possibilities outlined in my first answer.

Did you write off my "proof" before reading the body? (to atheists)
-- Yes, because you spoke of absolute and total proof, which announces a lack of understanding of the nature of proof from the outset. If you'd said simply "evidence" I might have been more open. But there is yet to be absolute and total proof for the theory of gravity, and something as spurious as god is very unlikely to get proof before that does.

>What did you assume my religion to be?
Another hard-core Christian with a lame proof.
(seen too many on this board)

>What was your opinion of me?
None.

> Did you write off my "proof" before reading the body? (to atheists)
Actually I am a theist...and I wrote off your "proof" before reading the body. There is no absolute and total proof that you can show another person...or there won't be the argument.

What were your thoughts upon clicking this thread?

Here we go again...

What did you assume my religion to be?

Christian, of course... Muslim's would've used the Arabic word for God... Allah, and Jews don't proselytize non-Jews, so they wouldn't post something like this (I don't know of any other religions other than the Abrahamic religions that claim that there is only one god).

What was your opinion of me?

Arrogant fool came to mind

Did you write off my "proof" before reading the body? (to atheists)

Of course. You can't prove the existence of something that exists only in the minds of the delusional, although I was interested to hear what you thought of as "proof".

My initial thoughts were; "Huh? Wonder what this person has to say?" I did not assume anything, because I have always been told to assume anything just makes an *** of u and me. If you had actually written anything I would have read it and then formed an opinion, but you didn't so therefore I can't and the same goes for your "proof".
This is a subject that my BF and I discuss a lot, because I am a open-minded Christian and he believes in the tangibles. So we debate this topic quite often, especially when it comes to our 2 yr. old daughter. My answer to him is always that we create a foundation for her to learn to explore everything and come to her own conclusions just like we have.
So I was just trying to see what someone else thought by opening this and found nothing.

That this question just might have some interest

As most religions don't refer to their deity as "God", if i had thought about it, I would have assumed Christian.

I hadn't formed an opinion as I had not read your question; but the all caps at the end did create a dis-favorable impression.

I was afraid that it would be another circular argument, but was willing to at least evaluate your proof.
