I might buy this mirror to lean against the wall in my bedroom. How would I frame a mirror that will not be mounted on the wall?

The mirror will not be hung on the wall. It will lean against the wall. I'm going for an elegant look which doesn't include popsicle sticks!

Try to find a frame to fit it (try here: http://www.improvementscatalog.com/home/diy/wall-mirror),

If you have to by a traditional picture frame, this site tells you how to frame and hang it: http://www.americanframe.com/ideas/mirror.html?-session=sAFshop:4A0645DC07b130635ByuMK1179C8

You may have to make your own frame (difficult) or take it to a frame shop (expensive). It will be heavy, and hanging may not be the best option. This DIY box frame from Lowe's may be a better option. http://www.lowes.com/lowes/lkn?action=howTo&p=Build/WoodpictureFrame&print=true. It would make it a free standing box.

You can also leave it unframed and get plain old mirror hangers at the home improvement store or the hardware store. These are little clips that hold it against the wall with screws, like on a bathroom mirror. Then you can dress up the edges with stick on appliques, overlap with thin lightweight wooden strips (to look like a frame), or dress it up in any number of other ways.

You could have a frame made for it or you could build one yourself if you are handy but for $40 more Linens n Things has a similar size mirror that is already framed. Whatever you do make sure you have a wire across the back so you can anchor it to the wall you are leaning it on. This insures it doesn't get knocked over by kids or pets or an errant vacuum.
